ctOS Breach Locations in Watch Dogs

The mission is simple; you’ve done it many times already. Locate and hack the ctOS nodes, then collect the information from audio signals. But, as you may have found already, some of these ctOS Breaches need practicing before you achieve your goal. Something that could really help is scouting the area prior to starting and preparing a loaded grenade launcher, read about how you can craft one in our Crafting Skills article. You never know when an explosion may come in handy! But that could attract unwanted attention, so a silent weapon could also be a good idea. Whatever your preferred method of getting Aiden through the task is, here is our guide to how you complete the whole collection.

The Loop – South Tech University – Time Limit 4:30

To give yourself the best chance of completing this breach it is advisable to bring a bike with you, otherwise you’ll have to run a kilometer and hack 5 boxes in the 4:30 time limit. Head southwest from the start point and jump over fences to get nearer the water. There you’ll discover the second box. Now make your way east along the broadwalk, keeping left and going up the stairs. Go east through the park and you’ll find the next box on the side of a building with Greek columns. The fourth box is on one of the bridge’s support columns, hack it then steal a boat from the dock to quickly reach the last box on another bridge’s support.

The Loop – Willis Tower – Time Limit 3:30

The second box isn’t far from the first, just on the side of a building across the street (to the west). Once both boxes are hacked cross the street, heading north, and enter a covered alley. Before you come out at the other side hack a security camera on the building to the right, above some glass awning. Pan the camera upwards to spot the third box in this ctOS Breach. Now, cross the street and head into another alley to the north, then use your profiler to find a security camera on a building to the south. The camera will be behind a filtration unit and gives you the view to hack the next box. Continue down the alley and turn left as you exit it. Along the sidewalk you’ll see a parking garage on-ramp, duck into it and hack the fifth box on a support pillar.

The Loop – Eastern Waterfront – Time Limit 3:30

Once again it may be wise to bring a motorbike along for this ctOS Breach as there is a lot of ground to cover. Start with the first box then run 90 meters northeast to the next box near the tunnel entrance. You’ll then have to sprint 200 meters north along the waterfront, now what did I say about a motorbike? The third box is beside a newsstand here. Box number 4 is on the underside of the nearby bridge between the waterfront and pier. Hop over the railing to hack the box then swim out east to the rocks, where you’ll find the last box beside one of the signal towers.

Mad Mile – Lipstick Killer-Ross Crime Scene – Time Limit 5:00

The first box in this ctOS Breach is high up on top of a building. To access it you’ll need to use a scissor lift and a swing stage, the latter will be hanging overhead. Once you’ve hacked the first box, return to the ground and head east towards the second box as displayed on your HUD. But before you get there, find a camera on the right around 30 meters away from the box. Hack that; follow the feed to another camera than hack the box. If you approach it directly you’ll find it’s blocked. From here you need to run north and along an alleyway. The third box is found by an explicit ad. The following box is easily accessed from the street; you’ll see it in an office lobby. Lastly, the next box is on an exterior wall of a building across the street from the previous box.

Mad Mile – Hanson Park – Time Limit 4:00

Although this ctOS Breach isn’t particularly challenging, it is much easier done during the day than at night due to the glass walkways. From the first box you’ll need to turn east and deal with the second box across the street. The next stage will have you running north, jumping over railings and using skybridges to find the box under some stairs. Get down to the street via the railing then climb up to the box by using the garden and ladder below it. The next box is on a roof a few rooftops to the west of the third one. The final box is locked behind a door you had to unlock to collect the ctOS Tower, if you’re not sure it’s best to read through our guide on ctOS Towers before attempting this. When you’re ready use the scissor lift and balcony to get to the fifth box, then find the lock to the door nearest the box with a security camera. Once the door is unlocked, go through it and jump over the obstacles to hack the box. Go on, you probably don’t have much time left!

Mad Mile – Unknown – Time Limit 4:30

It may seem a long distance, but if you’ve done your homework and are ready, this breach shouldn’t give you too much trouble. After hacking the first box get to the street and sprint northwest; you’ll see the next box on the side of an apartment building. Hack it with a camera on a building on the street’s east side. Behind the second box’s building you’ll discover an alley containing the third box. After that hack continue north and head to the Proviblue Bank’s car park. Take the lift up to the roof, then climb the ladder to reach the fourth box. By being careful you can get a clean line of sight to the box when standing close to the roof edge and playing with the camera angle. This may take time to perfect so be mindful of the time limit. At last, the final box. Return to the ground floor with the scissor lift in front of the bank and you can hack box number 5 on your way down. You’ll need to spot it behind some cardboard boxes to do that.
