Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, Ultimate Evil edition is an action based RPG developed by the lovely people at Blizzard Entertainment, which has recently been rereleased for both the PS4 and Xbox One. The choice of class can affect how you play through the game and will dictate which items and weapons work best for your character. If you need help deciding which class to pick for your adventure check out our Classes Guide, which describes all of the classes individually. If you have already chosen the wizard class read on to find out the best Armor wizard builds available from the diablo 3 wizard gear.

Wizard Build

Armor:

Tal Rasha's Guise of Wisdom:

Although this Set Helm item requires level 60 it is very useful and has many effects. One of the primary effects is the increase of your critical hit chance by 3.5%. Another is one of three varying magic properties, which will either increase your Dexterity, Strength or Intelligence by 330-524. Your skills in cold, fire, lightning and arcane will also deal out 5% more damage than usual as well as granting you +100 resistance to all elements and increasing your arcane regeneration by 2.00 per sec. The most impressive effect this armor has is that it causes a meteor of the same damage type as the attack you hit your enemy with to fall from the sky as long as the attack was arcane, cold, fire or lightening.

Aughild’s power:

This Set Shoulders item requires level 70 to use and costs 172,800 in total for the blacksmith to craft. This item gives its user +6 random magical properties, which can be incredibly useful in the long run. It also reduces damage from both ranged and melee attacks by 7.0% respectively as well as both reducing the damage from elites and increasing the damage against them by 15%.

Ring of Royal Grandeur:

This Legendary ring item only requires level 12 to be used but has some very effective abilities such as one that reduces the number of items needed for set bonuses by 1 to a minimum of 2. It also grants one of three magic properties (Dexterity, Strength or Intelligence) a +24-29 boost as well as increasing attack speed by 2-4%. The other properties it has increase your life per hit by a figure between 2 and 6 and grant you two random magic properties.

Magefist:

This legendary Gloves item requires level 31 to be equipped. In return you get a boost of 15-20% more fire damage as well as a +128-163 boost to one of three magic properties (Dexterity, Strength or Intelligence). This item also grants its users 3 random magic properties as well as a 3-5% boost to its user’s attack Speed. In conclusion the magefist is the type of item that is not incredibly effective on its own but can be terrifying when used in the correct build.

Vyr’s Fantastic finery:

These plain looking set pants require level 70 in order to be equipped for your legs. In return these items give a massive boost of 416-500 either your dexterity, strength or intelligence as well as a boost to your resistance to all elements of around 71-100 and 4 random magic properties. This item also has the possibility of providing +500 intelligence and granting the Archon form the effect of every rune simultaneously.

Although these 5 items were chosen as the best Diablo 3 weapons for the wizard class there were also some other items that deserved a special mention, namely the Mirrorball, Vyr’s Fantastic Finery and Vyr’s Swaggering Stance which were all close runner ups. Using a mix of these items should give your wizard the advantage over it’s enemies, thus making you a more effective fighter against the hordes of monsters and dungeons you are destined to encounter in game.
