Want to get your hands on some great Xbox One and 360 games for cheap? Check out this list for the best deals available for this week!
1. Hitman HD Pack (360) - 80% off
Go retro with this trio of games from the iconic stealth-action Hitman series. While Hitman 2: Silent Assassin hasn’t aged too well, Hitman Contracts stands strong as a dark and challenging entry to the series. With a minimalistic plot, this entry to the series has a much bigger emphasis on game-play. There are many ways to complete missions: go for a headshot with a sniper rifle, steal a chef disguise and poison the soup, plant a bomb in the car as the target leaves the area, and much more. You'll be taking the super-assassin 47 into the gritty, disturbing world of crime and vice, such as the shady streets of Hong Kong, an English manor (whose owners intend on hunting human game), and even a fetish party - taking place in a butcher's meat packing plant.
Hitman: Blood Money is the jewel of the series. More levels, more weapons, and more ways to make the kill. Make your way through an opera house, Heaven and Hell-themed parties, and even the White House, leaving as little evidence as possible to bag the most cash for your upgradable weapons and equipment. Whether you're intent on making a kill look like an accident or wish to get up close and personal with your strangulation cord, Blood Money offers even more replayability in even more challenging and diverse missions. Alongside all of this is a small playable demo called the Hitman: Sniper Challenge. Snipe your targets, earn XP and challenges to get yourself some upgrades, and reach the top of the leaderboards. Each game has a tense, orchestral and electronic soundtrack that will leave its mark on you.
2. Mortal Kombat X (One) – 25% off
There's enough blood, guts and gore that will make any tough-as-nails player wince at the mere sight at some of Mortal Kombat X's gruesome finishing moves. Set two decades after the events of previous game, its gripping story mode, which pits powerful fighters from various worlds against each other in a duel to the death, will be of great interest to any sadists out there. The various fighting playstyles offers new ways to battle, while the oodles of fresh and familiar faces will keep you hooked for more.
Expect some free outfits for your fighters off the bat; Netherrealm Studios has generously been giving out free gear for everyone. You can even purchase characters straight from the movies - with Predator and Jason Voorhees being available. Also, if you love online fights, try out Faction mode: pick a group to fight for on a weekly basis and earn bonus goodies! Undoubtedly, thanks to its rigorous polishing and bountiful bonus content offered, MKX is one of the strongest installation in this classic fighting series.
3. Hitman Absolution (360) - 80% off
The latest game in the Hitman series is notably different from the previous games, with more flexible game-play mechanics, a rating system, unlockable challenges that encourages ways to play, and a much stronger emphasis on the story. The legendary assassin 47 finds himself in a dangerous hunter-and-hunted situation. As he hunts down a notoriously powerful arms dealer Blake Dexter for kidnapping a very important young girl, the newly-revived Agency that 47 once worked for (but abandonned) now wants him dead. Why is the girl important? What does the Agency have in store for 47? And how is Dexter a step ahead of 47?
Try out the online Contracts mode and earn yourself some money by revising levels you've played and marking targets of your choice. Do you want a chef to be silently killed with a simple knife, or a few scientists obliterated by explosions whilst dressed up as an ice cream man? You call the shots in this mode. Make your missions as tough or as easy as you want, and see if other players can top your score. Try out theirs if you feel cocky enough. Hitman Absolution is strongly recommended for big-time fans of the stealth genre.
4. Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed (360) - 70-80% off
Sonic has not done too well over the years. Nevertheless, his spin-off racing series is bright, colourful, and plenty of fun. It's the closest that the Xbox will ever get to Nintendo's brilliant Mario Kart 8. There are plenty of characters across various Sega games, from the Sonic the Hedgehog series to Jet Set Radio and Super Monkey Ball. There are tons of weapons, ranging from rockets to pufferfish, and special moves will help give racers the edge in each race. Don't think it's all racing around in karts - your vehicle will transform so it can travel across water and zip through the sky, thereby keeping each race fresh and frantic. It's a clean, family-friendly experience for all to enjoy.
5. Mafia II (Xbox 360) – 80% off
Nyah! See? Gangsters are a dime-a-dozen on the streets of Empire Bay. The Italian war veteran Vito Scaletta needs money to pay off some shady loan sharks and to protect his family, and the only way to get that many notes is by entering the dangerous world of organized crime. As you fight through various gang territories and the horror of prison life, you'll be subject to some great writing and voice acting alongside the good old-fashioned shooutouts. So steal some cars, pop a few caps and wack some doity rats, because Mafia II has more exciting game-play and replay-ability than you can shake a cement shoe at.
