Amazon is already cranking up the hits for the holiday season. This includes price cuts on popular gaming peripherals and gear across a wide spectrum of devices and platforms. They’ve already opened up an entire section on the site dedicated to gaming discounts, as well as ways to break down deals based on brands.
All of the deals are available over on the Amazon Gamer page. It’s funny because there’s a nice, big, fat juicy advertisement for a Logitech gaming mouse with a ripe Kotaku review label smothered all over it like suntan oil on beach buns. It’s right there at the top of the page, too. Good ‘ole Kotaku.
But getting to actual gaming related content… they have things like the Logitech G29 race wheel up there, as well as the G910 Orion Spark RGB mechanical keyboard discounted as well. Samsung’s VR headset is available for under $200. An assortment of television and monitors are also up for grabs, along with minor discounts on game controllers and headsets, including one of my personal favorites the Letton G1 with a cushioned head band and glowing speakers. It’s marked down by more than 50% off, so instead of being $64 it’s only $30.
Nintendo’s Wii U is discounted by a fair margin. The Mario Kart 8 bundle is a literal rip-off, as you’ll only save $0.99 on it but the Super Mario Land bundle will net you some sexy results. How sexy? Try a $52 discount on for size. It comes with two pre-installed games, Super Mario World 3D and Nintendo Land, as well as a Wii U GamePad and the console and necessary cables. You can snag it for $297.99.
Sony also got in on the discount deals, with the PlayStation 4 being knocked down to its new price of $349.99. The only thing that makes the deal sort of sweet on Amazon is the fact that it’s bundled with Star Wars: Battlefront (well, the game itself sucks but a game included at $349.99 is pretty sweet) and it comes with free download codes for four classic Star Wars games. Unlike the Nintendo bundle above, the PlayStation 4 bundle comes with a physical copy of Star Wars: Battlefront. Essentially you’re getting the PS4 for about $290.00, which is kind of insane.
The Xbox One is probably the one console with the best bundle deal out of the pack. As much as some fanboys would hate to admit it, there is a bundle deal for the Xbox One that knocks the sales-leading socks right off the PS4… probably knocks the pants and panties off as well. The While there seems to be more bundle packs for the Xbox One than there are legal Americans in California, you really have to admit that a few of them are almost well worth the risk. It’s just too bad the Amazon commissions on Xbox consoles suck worse than Bruce Willis’ last movie. But in all seriousness, the Xbox One Kinect bundle with a 500GB hard drive is only $399.99 and it comes with three crappy Kinect games. Now before you yell “blood murder”, take note that the deal is discounted by more than $100. That curb-stomps both Nintendo and Sony’s bundles.
A much better Xbox bundle is the 1TB Xbox One bundle for $399.99. You save $48.88 and it comes with four games. You get Avalanche Studios’ Mad Max, Ori and the Blind Forest, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Rare Replay and the entire Gears of War Xbox 360 gaming collection for anyone who logs into Xbox Live before December 31st, 2015. So technically, you get seven games for $399.99. I don’t know about anyone else but even people who hate the Xbox have to admit that’s kind of a steal. I imagine as Christmas nears the price may drop even more. But it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on.
