Shanking folks with a small knife works just fine in the wastlands of Boston, which you can do with Pickman’s blade in Fallout 4. If you want this handy blade, you can get it from Pickman himself by saving him from some raiders in Pickman’s Gallery.
For those of you looking for a good stealth-based weapon that is quick to swing, and good for taking out targets without it turning into a bullet consuming firefight, you might want to consider Pickman’s Blade. To find this weapon you will need to go to Pickman’s Gallery, which is just north of the Old North Church and just east of Cabot House.
Upon reaching Pickman’s Gallery you will find out from his notes that Pickman himself dislikes raiders, and that he likes to paint, which will play into getting the knife. When proceeding through the building you will want to go through a hole in the wall that will lead you in between the walls to another hole that will be in the floor.
After jumping down through the hole you will want to continue downward while fighting raiders on your way to Pickman. Players will know when they are getting close to Pickman’s location when they make it to a room with a boss raider named Slab. the ringleader of the raiders will try to kill Pickman, which will force you to stop Slab to get Pickman’s Blade.
After killing Slab and his crew, Pickman will give you a key that will open a safe behind one of his paintings after you are done talking to him. Leave the place and enter back into Pickman’s Gallery to find a painting named Picnic For Stanley that will contain a safe behind it. This safe will hold quite a bit of items, but none of them will compare to Pickman’s Blade inside the safe.
You can watch MrMattyPlays video that gives a visual guide on the process to get the knife.
Looking at the stats of Pickman’s Blade it offers a base damage of 40, a fast swinging speed, a weight of one and a value of 143. For those looking to upgrade this blade you will find some alternative mod options that will allow you to increase the damage of stealth attacks, as well as adding even more bleed damage to the existing 25 points of bleed damage.
