Fallout 4: How to Shoot From Behind Cover

Fallout 4 doesn’t exactly do an amazing job of explaining all its in-game mechanics to the player. If you’re getting tired of getting shot at by your opponents with no obvious way of hiding and taking cover, fear no more. Players have discovered a way to take cover behind objects and fire their weapon safely from behind cover.

All you have to do is run up to a wall, or whatever object you wish to take cover behind. Press up against the wall until your your character holds the weapon close, as shown in the screenshot below. After that, all you have to do is hold the aim button, and your character will take aim from behind cover and will be able to shoot at opponents while staying relatively safe.
