Winner of the Oscar in 2001 for his performance in "Gladiator," actor and musician Russell Crowe, celebrates his birthday on Tuesday as director of the film "The water diviner," which he also stars.
It is a story set in Turkey during World War I, which ranges from the epic adventure and romantic drama story. The film was released in late 2014 in New Zealand and Australia.
In the film, Crowe plays an Australian farmer who travels to Istanbul to discover what happened to his children, reported missing in action in the bloody battle of Gallipoli. There he meets "Ayshe", who also lost her husband in the war.
Russel Crowe not only has talent for acting, but also for singing. He was the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band 30 Odd Foot of Grunts, which was formed in 1992 and received good reviews.
