Game of Thrones: possible end: Fan Theories Overview

It’s hardly a secret, and so much speculation about the end of the Game-of-Thrones TV series and the book A Song of Ice and Fire.
Potential Game-Of-Thrones-end: Theories Overview
Some theories to the end of Game of Thrones are exciting, others outrageous, and some can be rather stuck to the land of myths and fairy tales. We looked at the five most common fan theories to the Game-of-Thrones-finals.
Some fans already know the ending
In August, Martin admitted that some fans have already interpreted many references and allusions properly in his books, and could predict the end pretty much. What Martin has said exactly?
- So many readers were reading the books with so much attention that they were throwing up some theories and while some of those theories were amusing bulls and creative, some of the theories are right.
- At least one or two readers have the extremely subtle and obscure clues that I hid in the books, properly composed and found the right solution.
- What do I do then? I change the books? I have long thought about it and finally decided that it would be a disaster to make a difference, because the notes are already there.
- You can change anything, so I'm just so on.
Aha! Some theories have been put forward by fans and influencing the end directly, so also the one or the other theory that we want to introduce you now are correct. Probably.
Attention! This is followed by massive spoiler.
Game-of-Thrones Fan Theory 1: R + L = J
No, we are not now in the mathematics lessons and juggle with variables, the letters are much more likely for three characters from the Game-of-Thrones-universe. Specifically, it is about Rhaegar, the son of the mad Targaryen king, who was overthrown by Robert Baratheon to Lyanna, the deceased sister of Eddard Stark and to Jon Snow.
What do these three characters do together now? Well, it is vermouth that Rhaegar and Lyanna Jons’ parents. Why this is suspected and how exactly did it happen, you read in our detailed article on the topic: The truth about Jon Snow's mother (R + L = J) .
But so much more to this theory: The notes in the books are so strong that it can be assumed with great probability that it is true. Sean Bean, the Eddard Stark plays himself said jokingly that Jons is probably not his father.
What does this theory have to do with the end, we'll get on that latter
Game-of-Thrones Fan Theory 2: Who is Azor Ahai? A dragon or a bastard?
Melisandre, the red priestess in the service of Stannis Baratheon is convinced that precisely that is the rebirth of Azor Ahai. Azor is a legendary hero who fought with his mighty sword Lightbringer against the darkness.
In the form of others there again the darkness and Melissandre believes it 'fate is Stannis, to make this in the way and to defeat them.

In A Clash of Kings, a great red asteroid can be seen in the skies over Westeros. The significance of his emergence, however interpreted very differently by different figures. And none of the interpretations seems to turn out to be right in retrospect.
There will come a day after a long summer when the stars bleed and the cold breath of darkness falls heavy on the world. In this dread hour a warrior shall draw from the fire a burning sword. And that sword shall be Lightbringer, the Red Sword of Heroes, and he who clasps it shall be Azor Ahai come again, and the darkness shall flee before him.
So Melissandre believes that was reborn with the emergence of the asteroid Azor Ahai, Stannis Baratheon is now Azor Ahai. But that this is really true more than questionable. So Stannis has only a cheap copy of the mighty Light Bringer-sword of Azor. There are also characters that fit much better on the actual prophecy.
In addition Stannis' apparent end in Season 5 of the series. Only: Is he really dead? Has Melissandre previously recognized her mistake? And will follow the series here at all the book?
Daenerys as Azor Ahai?
Daeny was born twice: once during a storm on Dragonstone, the actual birth, and her second birth in the fire or the birth of the dragon in fire. The description of the prophecy thus fits very well on it. On the other hand Melissandre says also:
I pray for a glimpse of Azor Ahai and R'hallor shows me only Snow.
One could almost gain the impression that Snow is not meant literally, but would refer to the bastard Jon Snow. That would also attach to our first theory: Jon Snow's son Rhaegar and is therefore the real dragon, not Daenerys.
Game-of-Thrones Fan Theory 3: The three heads of the dragon
At the House of the Undying Daeny sees her brother and heard him speak of the three heads of the dragon. But who are these three heads? The Theory states that so actually people are meant. An obvious course is Daeny herself.
If R + L = J, then Jon could well be a second head of the dragon. And who is the third? On the one hand there is the theory that Tyrion is not Tywin's son, but the offspring of his mother and the Mad King Aerys Targaryen. Tyrion could therefore be a "dragon".
But there are two other possible candidates: once Bran, who can fly VII with a dragon with his Warg forces.. Or the son of Rhaegar, of which it is suspected that he was not killed by The Mountain. Questions, questions ...
Game-of-Thrones Fan Theory 4: "When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die."
The words in the title are Cersei. And they relate to the intrigues and eventually to open war for the throne in King's Landing. The question is: Is the war over this throne at all important to the end? Mandrels and the north split off eventually, Daeny could well remain in the Far East. Thus there may be several Throne in effect.
But it is not unlikely that The Others will soon come up in the north of Westeros. To ensure that all arguments about the throne were perhaps not quite forgotten, but would at least clearly take a back seat. It is conceivable that some warring parties to ally against the White Walkers.
Game-of-Thrones Fan Theory 5: Arya Stark
Arya Stark's pretty cool. I think we can agree on that. But it still ever heard of the good guys? After she left Westeros and is formed into a killer. And then there is also a kind of "church" that the Many-Faced God worship, which could well have something to do with the others.
Arya fights end up perhaps even against her half-brother Jon Snow? Oh, the Red Wedding would not mind.
Game of Thrones: What is the end now?
In spite of all theories, It does not answer definitively but it is certainly possible to draw some conclusions:
- Jon Snow will end up playing an extremely important role: While we don’t know yet exactly what role is precisely to get him, but he is probably one of the three heads of the dragon and will help to defeat the Others.
- At the end, there will be a great fight between fire and ice, dragon and Others.
- The struggle and the throne within Weteros will end, at least for a certain time.
- Also Tyrion will remain important until the end, perhaps it also is one of the three dragons.
- What Daeny? Here I am the least secure: Clear it appears currently as one of the key figures. But: Let's say, Jon Snow is the son of her brother, so her cousin, Tyrion her half-brother and Rhagars son Dragonstone actually survived: All three stood in line to the throne in front of her, at least if Tyrion and Jon as successor would be upheld. So there is little likelihood that Daeny at the end remains a "simple nobles'. Maybe she married Jon yes? ;
- Azor Ahai could consist of three persons, as it were, a Trinity.
- Stannis will be no king. Point.
- Arya to Others joins in or is fighting at least on their side, to stand at the end Jon opposite.

Reveal the origin of the Others?
Finally there is again news for Game-of-Thrones-universe. So it could be that Michele Clapton, the costume designers for Game of Thrones, with an unguarded comment quite a Hammer has blabbed Where Others come from? What its origin?
Here is a quote from the New York Magazine (we would like to link, but the article has disappeared):
And while the White Walkers have to armor of sorts, Clapton told us That it's all found material "part of sculptures and architectures that they reused as armor," nothing they made themselves. "The idea was that they may be discovered an ancient society what actually did very sophisticated, but the leather bits were all kind of eaten away. That would not have survived.
Ok, the first does not sound too spectacular, but first things first: First of all, we know almost nothing about the Others. Only that she likes cold like and fairly sensitive to fire and obsidian.
In this regard, Clapton's comment is so remarkable, but some information that we have not had so far, namely, that the Others wear armor that looks like this, the parts as if once been part of architecture, possibly something of a ancient, advanced culture.
The following quote is from the "history book" of Westeros:
- Among the iron born, it is said that the first of the First Men to come to the Iron Isles found the famous Seastone Chair on Old Wyk, but did the Isles were uninhabited ... That suggested the chair which left by visitors from across the Sunset Sea, but there is no evidence for this, only speculation.
It seems that there has been on Old Wyk and all Westeros before the people a high culture. But in stature these creatures must have been similar to the man who is Chair Season but also used by the latter.
The chair is one of many artifacts, which was manufactured from the mysterious Blackstone. In addition, it is assumed that the Iron Islands were once a single island on which stood a huge fortress of high culture.
In addition, mentioned in The World of Ice and Fire a few times some mysterious ancient culture, which communicates with dragons, and Valyria Asshai.
Possibly the Others this mysterious culture, but changed to unknown manner. After all, they are no longer creating culture, but only in a destructive mission go.
It is possible that there is a civil war or were in this culture something like that. Also possible that these creatures were magical and a war is not only responsible for the destruction of the Iron Islands, but also for the irregularity of the seasons. Even the Citadel does not answer why they are not regularly as change the world and its status to the sun regularly.
If you agree this assumption, then the Iron Islands magically modified offspring would be something like Atlantis and the Others (gone mad?).
What we got Season 5 reveals about the end: The series will contain spoilers about the end.
We know pretty much: Season 5 is the story of A Song of Ice and Fire - that is the anticipated book series. To bring the books series with the fifth season is not just one, but will also include some story elements, so in A Dance With Dragons * not yet read.
One of the creators of the series, David Benioff is quoted as saying:
- Luckily, we've been talking about this with George for a long time, ever since we saw this could happen, and we know where things are heading, "Said Game of Thrones showrunner David Benioff.
The makers have therefore spoken to Martin about what happens when the book series and the action catches up with the series or even obsolete.
- And so we'll eventually, meet up at pretty much the same place where George is going; there might be a few deviations along the route, but we're heading towards the same destination.
So you know the end already. And even if the series will do things differently, we will arrive as about where the books are also forming. So we know that there will be minor differences, but the big story is quite similar.
Because we already know some plot details of Season 5, we can say a lot to the development of the story:
Differences between series and books in the details
1. In the fifth volume of books Tyrion embarks on a long and arduous journey, not knowing what he wants to achieve exactly. The series is not with these trifles from, but lets Tyrion, as many have suspected, relatively promptly meet Dany.
2. No Faegon. The boy Aegon, the son of Rhaegar Targaryen as Varys, so Daenerys brother, presenting the book, may not occur in the series. This suggests that Faegon is really fake and unimportant. Or dive Aegon only in Season 6?
3. Sansa traveling with Little fingers to Winterfell. This is a very interesting development that we don’t know from the books. What the two do there? Do they have anything to do with the Boltons? Ramsay Bolton gets his punishment? One would wish him yes.
4. So far there is no information about Lady Stone Heart. If they may not show up? Or only in Season 6?
5. The story of Victarion will probably not told in the series. To unimportant? Who brings Dany then the magic horn? Or maybe this is not working and is not important?
