—————————————
A. WELCOME TO S.H.I.E.L.D.
—————————————
The beginning of the game is a tutorial. You will battle against a Sentinel, receiving instruction from Maria Hill. You will only have one attack available. Click on it to attack the Sentinel. This will barely do any damage, and then the Sentinel will attack. You will then be taught how to use grenades. Click the inventory icon, and then click on the grenade. Drag the mouse to the Sentinel and click on it to throw the grenade and destroy it.

Following this battle, you will automatically have Iron Man recruited. Go through the dialogue and then click on the large tower in the center of the screen. Afterwards, click on the red “FIGHT” words to begin the battle. In this battle, you will have  both Black Widow and Iron Man to help you. Black Widow will get damaged in the fight, and the game will teach you how to heal. It’s basically the same way as using grenades, but you click on a different tab in the inventory, and instead of clicking on the enemy, click on Black Widow. Then just continue the fight until both of the guards are defeated.

After this fight, Black Widow will be recruited to your team. A bunch of silver coins will pop out of the building that you just battled in. Run your mouse over the coins in order to collect them. Click on the next tower that lights up to initiate the next battle, and to join Captain America in a fight.

BOSS FIGHT
Power Armor
*************
This boss fight is a part of the tutorial, so you actually don’t have to worry about being defeated. But I’ll will still post this explanation here anyway just so you know exactly what to do, in case you accidentally skipped through the tutorial descriptions or whatever. Remember to click the FIGHT at the bottom of the screen to get this battle started.

You will be controlling Iron Man, yourself, and Captain America. Attack the Power Armor as much as possible with your regular attacks to wear it down. Mid-way through the fight, Iron Man will suggest using the EMP Grenade. Do this with the inventory and then the Power Armor will lose his next turn, freeing up opportunities to continue damaging him.

You will then be taught how to use a Distress Call. As you interact with your real life Facebook friends in the game, you can allocate these Distress Calls. Use them when you are close to losing to call upon help. In this situation, you will summon Thor, and Thor will subsequently destroy the Power Armor.

With that fight completed, you will be treated to a Boss Fight Bonus. Basically, you will randomly get a prize, whether that prize is coins or weapons to help in the next battle. Click on the “EXIT” arrow to leave this particular map and head to the Flight Deck.

CHAPTER 1: THE PULSE

—————————————
A. HYDRA’S TAIL
—————————————

Back on the Flight Deck, click on the jet plane highlighted in green. Send Black Widow out on a mission. And then click on the “MISSION” tab in green to go to the next map. Click on the Avengers symbol to look at the different tasks available. Then exit out of that window. Click on the other symbols on the left of the screen if you want, and then click on the building highlighted in blue. Click on FIGHT to start this next fight.

This fight is a standard battle against two guards. Defeat them. If they drop any loot, drag the mouse on the loot to collect it. Then resume the battle until they are both defeated. When the fight is over, you will be made aware of the store. Go through the motions to purchase and equip a new weapon for your character.

With that done, the Flight Deck mission that you sent Black Widow on will be completed. Click on the green tab on the bottom of the screen to reap the  rewards of that and then go through the dialogue. You can then build new jets, but it involves sending requests to your real-life Facebook friends. At any rate, hit “RESUME” when you’re ready to return to the mission at hand.

Click on the next highlighted building and finish the battle. Collect the silver, and then click on the new building.

*************
BOSS FIGHT
Viper
*************
This fight can be kind of tough. You will have a chance to use a new hero, Hawkeye, in the fight, though. Use any grenades you have on Viper. She has two powerful attacks. One of these will poison whoever it attacks as well. This fight is used to introduce the mid-battle store. Using gold, you can purchase an item that will heal everyone on your team, cluster grenades, and more.

You will definitely need to use one of the items to finish this fight successfully. I personally used the cluster grenades. Otherwise just keep attacking Viper until her health bar is depleted and she is defeated.

BOSS FIGHT
Viper

With Viper defeated, you will get a bonus. Then you will be taught how to visit your heroes. Visit Tony Stark’s map. Click on his tower to get a free Distress Call. Then click on all the other highlighted buildings to collect silver and other freebies. Then return to the flight deck. You will be taught how to send people on training missions. Do this for Iron Man, speed it up, and then reap the rewards as he levels up.

B. CLASS IS IN SESSION
—————————————
If you are going to send anyone out on missions, I would send Black Widow or no one at all. You’ll need Iron Man in a fight against a couple of Bruiser-type enemies, and you’ll need Hawkeye for a specific task in this mission.

On the map, there will be two highlighted buildings you can go to. Just pick one. One of them is considered a Medium Threat because those enemies are stronger, but at any rate, defeat all of the enemies in the two buildings. Iron Man will be very useful in the “Medium Threat” building since his attacks are super effective against those enemies.

After the first building is completed, you will get a message about a building that you need Hawkeye for specifically. Ignore it for now and complete the rest of the buildings until Whiplash’s building becomes active. Deploy Hawkeye in the building that only he can go to and then click on Whiplash’s building.

*************
BOSS FIGHT
Whiplash
*************
Whiplash is somewhat annoying, but he shouldn’t be a problem to get through at all. His attacks are basic, and don’t deal too much damage. They can drain your SP, so if that happens, click on the blue arrow icon pointing up to recharge. Then continue to lay into him.

Iron Man will deal the most damage to Whiplash. Don’t bother with the Missile Barrage attack as it’s pretty hard to get Whiplash to catch on fire. Just keep laying into him with basic attacks until he is defeated. You will get attacked after every time you attack him thanks to his counter-attack ability, but like I said, he won’t deal enough damage to be a necessary threat.
*************
BOSS FIGHT
Whiplash
*************

With Whiplash defeated, click on the building that you deployed Hawkeye in. Choose your reward and retrieve Hawkeye. Then return to the flight deck. In order to unlock the next mission, you have to hire a new jet crew. To do this, you either have to convince your Facebook friends to help you out, or use the in-game gold currency to hire three crew members.

The game will also run a tutorial about researching items in order to gain new ones. Go through the steps and then mess around with that feature if you feel like it.

C. HAIL HYDRA!
—————————————
The next mission will start off with three different buildings to visit. Choose the low level threat one first (marked with a blue icon) just to make things easier. This battle will be in waves. The first opponent can be defeated simply by blasting them with Iron Man. She will ignite and explode immediately after the attack.

Then two more Hydra soldiers will replace her, but they are both easily defeated as well. Then pick one of the mid-level threat levels and clean house. Doing this will open up a new level where Black Widow can be deployed. Deploy her in this area as soon as possible. Then go to the other building and win the fight. Make sure you have a third team member, so if Hawkeye is on a mission or whatever, wait for him to come back.

When they’re defeated, retrieve Black Widow, especially if she’s someone you’ve been using as a main. Then go to the last building that’s highlighted that’s NOT a boss fight. The game will then explain mini-bosses. You can skip the Power Armor fight, but then he will be with the next boss you face, making that fight extra difficult.

*************
BOSS FIGHT
Power Armor
*************
This Power Armor fight is just like the last one. Except that he has a Hydra buddy hanging out with him. Ignore him entirely because the Power Armor will just throw himself in front of him. When the Power Armor is defeated, turn your attention to the guy and attack him until he’s defeated as well.
*************
BOSS FIGHT
Power Armor
*************

With that fight concluded, it’s time to take on the boss…

*************
BOSS FIGHT
Baron Zemo
*************
Baron Zemo is partnered with a Hydra Officer that has a decent amount of health, but is weak to all of your attacks. Captain America will be in this fight with you, just like he was in the Power Armor fight. When the Hydra Officer is defeated, focus your attention on the Baron.

Baron Zemo is a pain. He was an attack that deals damage to all three of your party members while simultaneously healing himself. He almost always gets to attack twice in a row, and he is a Technician, meaning he can sometimes earn even an EXTRA attack. You may have to dig into the inventory or the mid-fight shop to defeat this one. I found that spamming grenades was an effective strategy.
