Dessert Shop Walkthrough [Guide]

Dessert Shop is a time management game available now on Facebook, and it allows players to turn their dreams of putting up a shop selling sweet delights into reality. Serve customers with your amazing concoctions, and gather up machines and resources so that you will be able to create cookies, banana splits, and other great tasting treats.

Gameplay
Dessert Shop is a game where players will need to manage several resources at once such as ingredients, equipment, workers, and other items in order to run a successful dessert shop business. Satisfied customers will earn you good reputation as well as coins that you can use to improve on your business. Players can strive for bigger and better recipes that their patrons will surely love, although this would require patience and a lot of hard work.

Currency
There are two types of currency at play within Dessert Shop. The first one are coins, and these are earned by selling desserts to customers as well as by completing tasks. Coins can also be earned as bonuses for leveling up. Coins are used to purchase regular items such as crops, trees, equipment, and other items.

Dollar Shop Cash, on the other hand, are considered as the premium currency within the game. DS Cash can be used to speed up tasks, purchase premium items, as well as skip certain parts of quests. DS Cash is awarded at a rate of one per level increase, and can also be purchased using real life currency.

Leveling Up
Each action done within Dessert Shop will earn players experience points that will allow players to level up. Leveling up will refill your energy meter as well as provide players with bonus coins, DS cash, and other items. In addition, leveling up will also unlock other content within the game, allowing you to do more and create better desserts.

Energy
Gathering ingredients, building shelves, and almost every other action will require players to spend energy. Energy is capped at a maximum of thirty, and players will regenerate energy at a rate of one per minute. Thus, this is a very important resource that players must maximize. Players can either wait for their energy to refill or use energy boosts to replenish it instantly, although this latter item is considered as a premium item and may be hard to come by.

Recipes
Each recipe that can be created within the game will require different kinds of ingredients. Some ingredients can be acquired from shelves, some must be harvested, while some must be processed by special equipment. Only by having the proper amount of ingredients will players be able to complete the recipe.

Completing the recipe a number of times will allow the players to become masters of that particular item, which will allow them to fetch a higher price once sold to customers. In addition, players can exceed three star mastery by trying to achieve pink star mastery by adding special ingredients to regular items. This type of recipe will achieve the highest selling price as compared to lower level ones.

Recipes also take some time to complete, which can range from a couple of seconds to a few hours. Thus, players must prioritize as to what recipes to create, taking into consideration what ingredients they have, the coins that they will be getting, and the current number of items available on their counter.

Trees and Crops
Trees and crops can be planted so players can harvest ingredients from them. Trees can be planted anywhere, but crops will require pots to place them on. Trees and crops can be harvested for a specific number of times before you would have to plant them again. Like recipes, trees and crops will take some time before items can be collected from them.

Equipment
Initially, players will have access to special equipment such as mixers and blenders that can process one or more ingredients into a whole new item. Like recipes, this will take some time to complete, and you would have to check as to what items can be produced by your equipment, and what ingredients you would actually be using. New equipment can be purchased and installed in your store so that you can process more ingredients for future desserts.

Shelves
Shelves will allow you to get an unlimited amount off ingredients one at a time. Shelves for eggs, sugar, and chocolate chips will be available for players initially, although they can also build other shelves at a later time. However, shelves will cost money as well as special items that players can either ask friends for or spend premium currency on.

Storage
Players can only stock a specific amount of unused items in their storage, although the capacity can be increased by spending premium currency. In order to avoid wastage, players can either increase their storage capacity or sell off unused items. Other items such as equipment, shelves, and decor may also be stored and taken out once they are needed in order to conserve much needed store space.

Décor
Décor can be purchased using different resources such as coins, heart points, and premium currency.  Having decorations around your store will increase your reputation, which will encourage more patrons to visit your shop, which would in turn translate to bigger sales and profit.

Employees
Employees can be hired so that they can help you around the shop. Employees can be unlocked at a later time, and you must acquire specific requirements that you can spend DS Cash on or ask friends for before they can be put to good use. Having employees will give you some great assistance as you must no longer have to do all tasks by yourself.

Fans
Fans are required so that you would be able to expand your shop. Fans can be earned by giving them coffee, which is a resource that you can require from the coffee machine. Make sure that you have an ample supply of coffee handy and make sure to serve them once the warning that a customer wants some pops up.

Missions
Missions will pop up that require players to perform a series of tasks. Missions are a great way to get a feel of the game, and completing missions will also get players some great rewards. Thus, it is important for players do focus their actions and energy towards the completion of these tasks to get the most out of Dessert Shop. Finishing a mission will allow even more missions to appear.

Social Function
Like most social games, Dessert Shop has a social function that rewards players who interact with each other. Players may also get bonus coins, DS Cash, and other rewards for inviting players to get into the game. In addition, players may be able to help each other out for a maximum of five times every twenty-four hours in exchange for heart points, which can be used to buy decorative items, and other special items.

Daily Rewards
Dessert Shop allows players to get bonus rewards for playing the game continuously. Players can select one, two, or three bonus items per day depending on how many days they have played consecutively. This is a must for any player that would like to get the most out of this game.

Tips and Tricks
Once you are ready, make sure to expand your shop. The cost may be high, but you can place more items in your shop and you would also be able to gain more access to equipment and other special items that will allow you to get better ingredients that will allow you to create even better recipes.

Make sure to exhaust all of your energy if you are leaving the game for an extended period of time. This way, no energy will be wasted and you will be able to do more. In addition, also make it a point to always keep your equipment as well as your stove running. Do not keep them idle, and make sure to collect ingredients, crops, and finished recipes once they are ready.

Prioritize your actions towards the completion of missions. Not only will this earn you rewards, but missions provide you with a much more linear way to purchase equipment, crops, shelves and other items so that you will not waste precious resources getting items that you will not be using for a little while longer.

Also, prioritize mastery of recipes, as this will fetch you a higher price. Make it a point also to keep a good stock of items present on your counter, and increase your counter capacity so that you would be able to sell more. Do not leave your counter empty as customers that are forced to wait too long will leave. Some recipes will take quite some time to complete so it would be good to have at least a few easy to complete yet high priced items up for sale.

Lastly, make sure to check for updates from time to time. There are many sections that have been labeled as “Coming Soon”, so the game will be able to offer much more in future updates.
