Hungry Shark Evolution Walkthrough [Guide]

It’s feeding frenzy once again with Hungry Shark Evolution. Feed your shark with tender morsels from above and below the ocean surface and watch him grow. Many sharks are available, and each can devour a variety of objects. There are also missions and treasures that can be completed and collected to add more enjoyment and challenges to the game. Are you up to the challenge to be the biggest and baddest predator in the water? Play Hungry Shark Evolution and find out.

Gameplay
Hungry Shark Evolution involves leading your shark character into every corner of the ocean, eating everything available along the way. Players must survive for as long as they can, as their health bar constantly depletes and the only way to replenish it is by eating creatures such as fishes, crabs, turtles, other sharks, pelicans, or even scuba divers and swimmers. Land mines as well as other creatures such as pufferfish can also damage your shark, so knowing what you can and cannot eat is absolutely essential.

Currency
Coins and gems are the currencies available within Hungry Shark Evolution. Coins can be used to purchase regular items while gems can be used for premium purchases as well as unlocking other items early. Coins can be earned by playing the game and completing tasks. Both coins and gems can also be earned by completing offers or purchasing them via real money.

Sharks
There are different types of sharks that can be used in the game, with each differing in speed, maximum size, the creatures that can be consumed, and others. Players will start the game with the reef shark, with other characters available for play only once if players have attained maximum growth, or by unlocking them early using gems. Players can only do the former method by playing the game and receiving experience.

Players may also increase each specific shark’s abilities such as bite, speed, and boost by spending coins. Typically, the stronger the shark and higher their stats, the better they will be able to perform.

Multipliers
Not only will eating increase the shark’s health and experience, but eating in quick succession will allow players to gain multipliers, which can exponentially add onto your total score. Thus, try to find schools of fish rather than individual ones when feeding, although bigger creatures such as turtles, humans, and other sharks will often serve as better nourishment if you are low on health.

Controls
Players can maneuver above and below the ocean surface by either tilting their devices or via virtual controls. This can be configured in the settings. Players are also provided with a boost meter, which can be activated by tapping and holding. Boosts allow the shark to move faster, and this can also be used to make the shark jump above the water, which is essential for capturing flying birds or even passengers on boats.

Store
The Store is where players can purchase items for both aesthetic and functional purposes. Examples of the latter include hats and other costumes to make your shark look unique, while functional items include added protection against stings and landmines, maps, and many more. Baby sharks are also available for purchase to help you along with your eating tasks.

Items, depending on its value, can be purchased using either coins or gems.

Shells
Strewn across the ocean floor are shells that, once collected, will open up missions that players can complete in exchange for big rewards. These missions include lasting a round for a specific amount of time, eating a certain number of people, jumping over the water for a specific height, and many more. There are a certain number of shells for each map, and players can tap on the upper left portion of the screen to see what missions they have not accomplished yet.

Treasures
There are also fifteen different kinds of treasures that can be collected all over the map. These treasures carry with them big bonuses, so players must make it a point to search for these items whenever they can. In addition, the Daily Reward chest can also be found which can provide players with coins and other items. This chest is only accessible once per day.

Tips and Tricks
Look for gold colored creatures, as they carry with them gold coins that will automatically be added to your stash. Also, do not forget to swim around and go deep, as these often have bigger, albeit more dangerous, creatures, as well as tunnels to other areas of the ocean. Take note, however, that going too deep may cause you some high pressure damage in some cases.

Some creatures are also not safe to eat, depending on the situation. Pufferfish may not be eaten if they are inflated, and other sharks will attack you if you are facing them. Some creatures must be eaten from the front, although some of these do not matter if you are already controlling a larger shark.
