Battle Nations Walkthrough #2 [Guide]

War is always an ugly thing, but not in Battle Nations. Here, players will be introduced to war in a whole new light, as you fend off invaders and combat different armies all for the glory of the Empire. Filled with humorous dialogue and extremely lovable characters, Battle Nations will give players tons of enjoyment as they embark on a journey to build their army one man – and one structure – at a time.

Gameplay
Battle Nations is a building simulation game with turn based combat thrown in. The game revolves around managing resources by building different structures that will help improve and expand your camp as well as strengthen your army, which can be used for defending against Raiders, boars, or even raptors. They can also be used to attack other camps for bigger rewards. Building within your camp is also a necessary component in order to gather resources as well as keep your population happy.

Currency
Coins and Nanopods are the currencies within Battle Nations. Coins are given as rewards when winning battles, as well as when completing missions. Coins can also be collected as profits from housing, or when jobs have been successfully compelted. On the other hand, Nanopods are much harder to come by, but you can acquire them more conveniently through via in-app purchases, and the more you spend, the better deal that you would get.

Coins are used to build structures, make upgrades, start jobs, as well as train or heal injured troops. Nanopods, in turn, are used to speed up tasks and to purchase special items that work like regular items but are faster, more cost effective, or stronger.

Leveling Up
When players do battle with invaders or complete tasks such as collecting from jobs, then they would earn experience. Experience will unlock other items for use such as better buildings or stronger troops. Nanopods are also often rewarded whenever players level up. Most of the time, these are necessary in order to complete further quests, so make sure to level up whenever you can, and you can speed this process up by purchasing consumables which will increase your regular experience rate for a short period of time.

Troops
Your troops are an essential part of combat. There are different kinds of troops that have different kinds of range, ammo, and reload times. Other statistics may also vary from troop to troop. Troops can sometimes be given as rewards, although the main way to get them is through training. Having an adequate number of forces for your army is essential, especially during the time where you will already participate in fights, as the more troops you have, the more fights you can participate in.

Like the player, troops may also level up; this is via skill points which troops will earn if they go to battle. Once the skill meter fills up, then troops can be promoted, which would improve their stats as well as give them additional skills or, in some cases, even more weapons that the players can choose from. However, troops can also be injured, so it is important to treat them in the hospital so that they can get well and get back to fighting once again.

Buildings
There are several types of buildings that can be created within your camp. Some of these are housing which can increase your workforce as well as give you the chance to collect coins from them, military structures which will help you train and heal your troops, resource buildings where players can gather materials from their surroundings, and many more. There are even decors that can help boost the benefits of different types of building when they are close to it.

Purchasing buildings will require either coins or Nanopods, depending on whether they are regular or special buildings. Construction also takes some time to build, although players can also try to speed this up using Nanopods. In the case of shops where players can produce different items, players must spend coins as well as other resources in order to start jobs, and jobs can also be completed instantly by spending Nanopods. Buildings can also be upgraded in order to make them more efficient and more cost efficient, although only one upgrade across all buildings can happen at one time.

If there is no more space in your camp, or if you want to reach a certain resource so that you can build a quarry or mine there, then you would have to spend coins and other resources in order to expand. Expansion costs a lot of coins and takes quite a while to complete, so make sure that you are expanding in the right direction.

Players can see all of the available buildings, as well as those that are still locked, in the Build Menu of the game.

Battle
As mentioned, battling against Raiders and other players is an integral part of the game. Combat starts off by having the players place their troops along a grid. Take note that there is a limit to the number of troops and defensive units that you can place, and injured troops or those just returning from battle can also not be used. Players should also take note of the troops particular range and area of attack, if any, so that they can maximize how their platoon is arranged. Of course, players should also consider how the enemy might arrange his own troops to counteract yours, so proper strategization is really a must. It is important to note that troops cannot move out of their positions once the battle starts.

Once the fight begins, each team will take turns to attack the other. Again, take range and area damage into consideration. Once a troop member attacks, he will not be able to attack again for a turn or two, so other troops must do the attack. Also, they might run out of ammo, and it will take several more turns for them to reload. If no troops can perform actions at the time, then the player must pass their turn. Whoever is able to eliminate all enemies, or if the opposing player forfeits or retreats, then the player is declared as the winner.

Battles will also earn troops who participated in combat skill points, which are essentially experience points that will allow the troop to get promoted. Once a troop type has been promoted, all current and new troops will already have that level.

Social Function
Like most mobile games, Battle Nations also has a social function. Players can invite friends via Twitter, Facebook, or Game Center, among others, and they can also join alliances, called “Nations” so that they can talk together and be part of a group. Players can help out in their friends’ camp in exchange for rewards, or they can choose to fight each other in exchange for Victory Points, which is where the fun really begins.

Fighting with a friend or with random enemies will earn players points that will result in players getting rewards based on how much they have collected. However, players should take note that even though injured troops will no longer have to be brought to the hospital, it will take some time for your deployed troops to return to camp, so they cannot participate in any more fights until after they get back.
