===========
HOW TO PLAY
===========
The idea behind tennis is fairly simple. Every game of tennis in Wii Sports
Club is doubles, with one team on each side of the court. The goal is to get
the ball to land on the opponents’ court and have the ball then bounce out of
bounds. Another way to score is to have the opponent hit the ball completely
out of bounds or hit the ball against the net and have it land on their side
of the court.

Games of tennis are played to 7 points. To win, a team has to have at least
2 more points than the opposing team.

When the game is tied, it is called a Deuce. When a winning team has the
upperhand, they have the advantage and are on the “Match Point”.

Serving alternates between teams after each successful volley.

=================
LOCAL/ONLINE GAME
=================
Tennis can be played locally with up to four players. In addition, two players
can take the game online.

When playing tennis online, players can choose to face people from their own
“Club”, designated by location (though you do not have to play in your home
country or state), anyone that is online, or only play people that are online
that are also on their list of friends.

======
STAMPS
======
Like Wii Sports Resort, Wii Sports Club features Stamps that serve as sort of
achievements to challenge players to master the games or try unique objectives
in regards to the games.

Stamps are only earned in local mode with one player.

To check stamps for tennis, click on the stamp icon right before starting up a
match.

————
SMASH HITTER
————
Take advantage of an opponent’s putaway chance by returning with a smash shot.
Strategy: A smash shot is a shot that is possible whenever a ball is hit high
onto your side of the court and slow. You’ll know when it is possible because
the crowd will go “Whooooa!” and an exclamation point will pop up over the
opponent Miis’ heads. Swing the Wii remote very hard to perform the smash
shot, which will cause a super-charged ball to hit the court. It’s essentially
spiking the ball, but super-style!

—————
FOREHAND MASTER
—————
Win a match using only forehand shots to earn this title.
Strategy: A forehand shot is when you swinging the racket with the back of
your hand facing the TV. Make sure that your Mii is holding the racket in the
same exact way as you before you swing or else it won’t count and you will
have to start all over.

———-
NAIL-BITER
———-
Experience a game where the score goes back to deuce 10 times or more to
earn this title.
Strategy: Honestly, to get this one you’ll just have to let the AI score a lot
most likely. Get the game to 6 and then let the AI play until they catch up.
This will put the game in Deuce. Then get the advantage, and then let the AI
score a point so that it goes back to Deuce. Count how many times you see the
word “Deuce” appear at the top of the screen. When it hits 10, that is enough.

————-
30-SHOT RALLY
————-
Keep a rally going for 30 shots or more to earn this!
Strategy: Just keep hitting the ball back and forth with the AI. This will be
tough to do, especially since the AI will be actively trying to score on you
every single time they hit the ball. I wish this one could be boosted with a
friend since it does take some skill regardless and with the AI it just
requires luck, but whatever.

———-
TENNIS ACE
———-
Crush your opponent without giving up a single point.
Strategy: Win a match without the opponent scoring on you once. This should
obviously always be something that you strive to do, however.

————
SMASH RETURN
————
Return your opponent’s smash shot to earn this!
Strategy: The smash shot was discussed a bit earlier. When an opponent does it,
simply return it and have the ball land on their side of the court. You do not
have to score off the shot, just return it to the other side of the court.

———
3K RUNNER
———
Make the opposing player run 3 kilometers or more during a single game to
earn this stamp.
Strategy: The easiest way to do this is to just keep hitting the ball to
opposite ends of the court. Of course, it can also be tricky as you may hit it
too far out of their reach that you’ll wind up scorinng on them. It is a good
thing then that you can build this one up over the course of an entire game.

————-
SMASH SHOOTER
————-
Perform 10 or more smash shots during a single match to earn this.
Strategy: No way to really force this to happen. Just hope that the AI gives
you this opportunity.

———————-
DETHRONER OF CHAMPIONS
———————-
The Queen Sisters are a fearsome duo known for smashing would-be challengers
into pitiful tennis dust.
Strategy: As you play tennis matches and earn XP and level up, the opponents
that you fight will become tougher and tougher. The Queen Sisters are the
epitome of tough opponents in Wii Sports Club.

——————–
RATTLESNAKE REFLEXES
——————–
Only those with reflexes fast enough to return an opponent’s smash shot while
playing at the net will earn this stamp.
Strategy: Again, this is another stamp that relies entirely on lucky
circumstances in order to obtain. You have to wait for the opponent to hit a
smash shot and then hope it has such a trajectory that your Mii that is
closest to the net will be able to return the ball.

========
TRAINING
========
This mode is a series of mini-games designed to help you improve your basic
skills when it comes to tennis.

Players earn medals based on performance. In addition, there are online
leaderboards implemented as well that will always display the top scoring
player in the world.

———–
RING MASTER
———–
In this mode, rings of varying size will pop up on the court. The rings are
also of varying color and there are sometimes multiple rings in a single row.
The object of this mini-game is to hit the ball through the rings to earn
points. Hitting the ball through multiple rings will earn more points, and
the smaller the ring is, the more points it is worth. Some shots will earn you
more time.

————
TENNIS MOLES
————
A variety of different whack-a-moles will appear on the opposite side of the
court. The goal here is to hit the moles with the tennis ball. Hitting multiple
moles with one ball will result in a higher score. There are two chances per
wave of moles to hit them with the ball. The moles that are located farther
back are worth more points. Hitting multiple moles can also earn you more time.

————
RUNNER DUCKY
————
In this mini-game, the point is to make the robot duck that is shooting out
tennis balls run around the court and build up a total distance of having
moved. The duck will go to the area on the court where the balls land. So
obviously you want to hit the ball as far away on the opposite side of the
court of the duck as possible. To earn more time in this one, there are clocks
that will spawn on the court. Hit the balls to the clocks to make the duck
bump into them.

3. Bowling

===========
HOW TO PLAY
===========
Bowling is probably the most popular Wii Sports sport of all time, having been
seen in both Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, and now Wii Sports Club. In
bowling, the goal is very simple: knock down all of the pins.

Bowlers have two chances to knock down all of the pins. Knocking down all of
the pins on the first try is called getting a Strike. Knocking down the pins
on your second try is called a Spare. There are typically 10 frames of bowling
played, with the final frame giving you an extra chance to earn points assuming
you made a Spare or Strike on the previous bowl.

=================
LOCAL/ONLINE GAME
=================
Bowling can be played with up to four players offline or online. Unlike
tennis, you cannot take local players online to play bowling. Also unlike
tennis, you can actually level up by playing multiplayer in bowling.

There are three different basic types of bowling:

———–
10-PIN GAME
———–
10 pins per frame. Traditional bowling.

————
100-PIN GAME
————
100 pins per frame. Definitely…nontraditional bowling.

————
SPIN CONTROL
————
Bumpers are set in the middle of the lane. To knock the pins, you need to spin
the ball at a certain angle in order to be successful at this.

To spin the ball, twist your wrist right at the top of the throw.

======
STAMPS
======
Bowling stamps can be earned in any game mode since it doesn’t matter if you
are playing with other people or not, whereas tennis could allow boosting based
on how the game is played.

—————
TURKEY WRANGLER
—————
Get three strikes in a row to get a turkey.
Strategy: “Turkey” is the term used for when three strikes are gotten in a row
in bowling.

—————–
SPLIT-FRAME SPARE
—————–
Pick up a spare after getting a split on your first throw.
Strategy: Knock down the “1″ pin and then it is technically a split. You need
to knock down the rest of the pins and get a spare at that point.

—————–
POWERHOUSE STRIKE
—————–
Knock down all the pins with one ball during a 100-pin game.
Strategy: This requires a bit of luck, but basically hit the pins in a perfect
strike like you would for 10-pins, except do it with such force that it can
knock down all of the other pins as well.

—————-
THE BARE MINIMUM
—————-
Knock down at least one pin in every frame during a game of Spin Control.
Strategy: Self-explanatory really.

———-
PRO BOWLER
———-
Score 200 points or more in a 10-Pin Game.
Strategy: To do this, you need to earn a lot of Strikes and Spares. This isn’t
quite a perfect game, because a perfect game in bowling is 300. So there is
room for error, but not much.

—————-
STRAIGHT SHOOTER
—————-
Score 180 points or more in a 10-Pin Game.
Strategy: See above.

————–
BARRIER TEASER
————–
Score 150 points or more by knocking down pins while clipping the barriers in
every frame of Spin Control.
Strategy: You need to hit the barriers that are blocking your path to cause
the ball to then bounce into the pins. You need to just graze the side of the
barriers. Hitting them head-on will just cause the ball to roll into the
gutter most likely.

————–
SECRET STRIKER
————–
Rumor has it there’s a unique method for throwing a special kind of strike
during a 100-Pin game.
Strategy: There is a way to knock down all 100 pins with an explosion of
sorts in these games. In order to do this, go all the way to the right of the
lane. There is a blue barricade. Toss the ball into the barricade so that it
rolls straight down it and then subsequently knocks down all of the pins as
well.

—————
NO PIN STANDING
—————
Get a strike or spare in every frame (with the exception of the third throw of
the tenth frame).
Strategy: In your attempts to score highly for the other stamps, this is likely
to occur.

————
PERFECT GAME
————
Get a strike in every frame.
Strategy: Obviously this is easiest achieved in a regular 10-pin game of
bowling. However, it’s still quite the feat. You’ll need to master the
strike before even attempting this.

========
TRAINING
========
Bowling also features its own fair share of mini-games for Wii Sports Club.

————-
SPARE PICKUPS
————-
The pins are set up in a way that there are only a few at the end of the lane.
The goal here is to just knock down all of them like you would be bowling for
a spare.

———–
TRICKY PINS
———–
There are different styles that the pins can be set up as. Choose whichever
style you want to start with and then knock down the pins. The pins will be
set up throughout the lane instead of just at the end of the lane. These
will require spinning and other trickery in order to be the most
successful.

———–
100-PIN PRO
———–
100-Pin…but with a twist! The 100-pins are set up in various shapes, such
as a heart and a flag.

4. Golf

===========
HOW TO PLAY
===========
The game of golf has been replicated in gaming ever since the dawn of the industry. Golf itself is a fairly simple concept to understand. The golfer hits the ball off a tee, with the goal of making the ball into the hole at the end of the course. There is a certain number of strokes set for each course. Getting over this number will result in a positive score. Getting below this number will result in a negative score, which is favorable. The player with the lowest score wins.

=================
LOCAL/ONLINE GAME
=================
Golf can be played with up to four players online or offline. In addition, you can choose whether you want to play 3, 9, or 18 holes of golf.

After choosing how many holes you want to play, the next step is to choose where you want to play. The choices are Lakeside and Classic. Lakeside is a new course made for Wii Sports Club. Classic is the classic courses available in the original Wii Sports game. If you are only playing three holes of golf, you will have to choose between Course A, B, or C variants on the Lakeside and Classic courses.

======
STAMPS
======
Just like bowling, the stamps in golf can be earned in any game mode due to the nature of the sport.

————-
UNDERACHIEVER
————-
Finish any course under par
Strategy: Obviously, just play a decent round of golf. You have to get at
least a birdie or better to be under par on a course.

————–
CHIP-IN WIZARD
————–
Hit a ball from outside the green directly into the cup.
Strategy: First you’ll need to get a ball close to the green. Then it’s going
to take a little bit of luck, but what you need to do is “chip in” the ball
so that it lands directly into the cup.

—————
FAIRWAY OR BUST
—————
Get the ball in the cup for each hole in an entire course without straying off
the fairway or the green.
Strategy: When a ball is “off” the fairway, that means it is either in a
hazard, such as the water or sand variety, or it is in the rough. You have to
play at least three holes where the ball is only on the fairway or the green
for the entire game.

————
POWER PUTTER
————
Sink a putt from 82 or more feet away on any hole on any course.
Strategy: This is self-explanatory, and again, is going to take a lot of luck
in order to accomplish.

————–
BIRDIE WATCHER
————–
Finish a nine-hole course nine or more under par.
Strategy: This is a pain in the ass, but it’s basically saying you have to
score at least one under par for every course with no mistakes.

————–
BIRDIE OF PREY
————–
Finish an 18-hole course 18 or more under par to earn this stamp.
Strategy: Do the Birdie Watcher stamp…but double.

————————–
SOARING WITH THE ALBATROSS
————————–
Get an albatross on any hole.
Strategy: In golf, an “albatross” means getting the ball in the cup with only
two strokes on a course that is Par 5.

————
FLAG IT DOWN
————
Stop a ball’s momentum by hitting the flag or the pin.
Strategy: Before you get the ball on the green, there will be a flag in the
cup to indicate to you the cup’s location. If you hit the ball into the flag,
it will stop the ball from rolling too far away from the cup. Perform this
task to get this stamp.

———–
HOLE IN ONE
———–
Get a hole in one.
Strategy: A hole in one is where you get the ball in the cup with only one
stroke. The easiest hole to accomplish this is the first course in Classic. It
is possible elsewhere, but extremely difficult.

—————
THE SECRET SHOT
—————
Land your ball in the “special place”.
Strategy: Pending

========
TRAINING
========
Golf adds three new Training mini-games to the mix.

———-
PRO PUTTER
———-
Putting challenges. Pro Putter is all about sinking the ball into the cup by
just putting.

————-
CHIP-IN BINGO
————-
From a “chip-in” position, you have to hit the ball onto a board with a variety
of tiles. The goal is to get five tiles in a row in any direction, which is a
“Bingo”. Accomplishing this will win you the game!

—————-
DRIVER CHALLENGE
—————-
The skill practiced here is driving the ball down the range. You have to hit
the target, but you are able to earn various bonus points along the way as
well.
