Colossatron: Massive World Threat is not just a smashfest, as it will still require players to think and manage everything that they would like to attach to your massive mechanical monster. Still, there’s much anarchy and enjoyment to be had, and that would be okay in anybody’s book. Destroy everything in sight and smash through everything that stands in your way by reading through this very comprehensive guide.

Gameplay
Colossatron: Massive World Threat is a tower defense-type game with match three type elements thrown in. There’s really no specific way to define the game, except that the focus is to have Colossatron, a robotic monster with the ability to attack nodes – called powercores – to its body, survive long enough so that it is able to complete missions set by the game across different cities and countries.

With this, players must strategize and manage how powercores are to be attached to Colossatron as these have different effects depending on where they are placed. There are also different gadgets and new cores that can be unlocked and equipped in order to ensure that you are able to destroy whatever cities you land in.

Currency
There are two types of currencies available within Colossatron: Massive World Attack, namely Cash and Prisms. Cash is the game’s premium currency and can be used to purchase items at the store like powercores and repairs. On the other hand, prisms are used to unlock new cores that will then appear randomly during the game, as well as armor and the ability to resume your game should your character get destroyed.

Cash is earned continuously by destroying cities and can also be exchanged for prisms. Prisms, on the other hand, can be collected very seldom during regular gameplay, but more can be earned when capitals have been destroyed, with players being able to get more the more surviving cores that they have. The best way to acquire additional prisms, however, is via in-app purchases. There are bundles available where in other items are included in the package, and there are also different quantities of prisms that can be acquired using real life money.

Cities
There are many countries that Colossatron can visit and destroy. Each country has cities as well as a capital that must be destroyed before you would be able to clear the area. For each location, there are specific objectives that must be met but are usually about destroying a specific target or defeating the boss. At the capital, remaining powercores will be converted into prisms. Also, once an entire country has been destroyed, then players can return but gameplay would now resemble survival mode where players must last for as long as possible against an increasing number of opponents. This is the best way to earn some extra cash without having to play through multiple cities.

Should players get defeated, which happens when all powercores attached have been destroyed, players have the option to spend prisms which would return all of the cores that you have started with back to you. This will also have the effect that will automatically allow you to win and clear the city where you’re at. Otherwise, players will have to repeat the stage from scratch.

Powercores
Powercores are the most important part of Colossatron, as they provide you with offensive, defensive, and support capabilities that are automatically activated and triggered without user intervention. Powercores appear during regular play and can also be purchased at the store. Additional cores may also be unlocked at the store, and new ones that provide perks such as shields and mega bombs would also appear from time to time even though they are normally not acquirable.

Once powercores appear, they can be attached at any part of Colossatron. Depending on which section they are attached to, this will have different effects. Attaching three cores of the same type and same level will have these cores combine into a single more powerful unit. On the other hand, other colored units may also be blended in order to create a new colored powercore that has a different function. These products could be blended further to make them more durable and be more powerful in a fight.

Aside from making attacks, there are also cores that can serve as healers or can provide increased damage. However, most of the time this only affects cores that are within close vicinity. This means that players should also take into consideration where they are attaching these cores in order to make the most out of them.

Powercores, in between stages, can also be repaired and powered up using cash earned through regular gameplay. There are also cores that will be available for trial use for a limited time so make sure to utilize them whenever the opportunity presents itself. Players also have the option to reconfigure and rearrange the cores already attached to Colossatron, although this would require players to spend cash as well.

Health
Should a powercore take in enough damage, this will no longer be functional. This is signified by an exclamation part, and this also means that the particular section can be removed. This will serve as a mini grenade, as after a while this will blow up and damage enemies around it. Thus, when this happens, make sure to detach the section and swipe it towards enemies.

While this is recommended, damaged cores will bring you that much closer to defeat. To that effect, armor can be purchased to increase the amount of damage that your powercores can take. This will cost prisms, and armor can only be purchased on a per color basis. In addition, the higher the damage that you want your cores to resist, the more prisms you would have to spend.

Lastly, in order to ensure that your cores will stay healthy for longer, you can equip powercores that can heal your units, as well as repair your cores in between stages if you have enough cash to spend. Remember that the longer Colossatron is, the longer you will be able to last, but that will also mean that your enemies will have a much larger target to hit.

Gadgets
Upon clearing a country by destroying the capital, players can gain access to gadgets. While many gadgets are available, only one per level can be equipped. Players can opt to swap gadgets after they have made their chosen, but this would require them to utilize prisms. The use of gadgets range from letting Colossatron directly attack a chosen target, heal powercores, or dealing massive damage to a large area of enemies. Players should be able to choose carefully as to which gadget works best for them, and change their loadouts accordingly.
