Prove your mettle in the world of street racing with ACR Drift, and here’s our walkthrough on how you will be able to have a higher chance of staying ahead.

Gameplay
ACR Drift is a racing simulation game where in players can race against the computer as well as with other players in a head to head match. Players must swipe left and right to either switch lanes or drift, and upwards to activate nitro, which would provide players with a temporary speed boost. Timing is also essential when drifting and even when starting, as where the arrow points at your meter once you start will depend on how fast or how slow you can make starts in races.

Multiple cars may be owned and upgraded, and these must be done frequently in order to keep up with tougher challenges and drivers with much better and faster vehicles. Of course, having cat-like timing and reflexes are also essential as skilled driving would trump slightly faster cars most of the time.

Currency
Credits and gold are the two currencies at play within ACR Drift. Like most mobile games utilizing the dual currency system, basic items like regular cars and upgrades may be purchased using either credits or gold, while premium ones can be bought exclusively using premium currency. Gold may also be used to purchase gas refills and super nitro, items which would be beneficial but completely optional.

Credits can be earned regularly by racing, while gold is rewarded for special event races as well as when leveling up. Credits can also be exchanged for gold, while gold can be acquired using real money.

Leveling Up
By participating in races, players will earn experience points. When enough are earned, players will get to level up. Leveling up will open up more content in the game like new vehicles, and will also award players with gold. Thus, leveling up will be very advantageous to players as it will open up new items that the game has to offer. Besides, leveling up also comes naturally as you play the game consistently.

Gas
Gas acts like the energy within ACR Drift. Each race requires the player to spend this resource, and refilling this will require either refills using premium currency, or waiting until enough gas has been recovered. It is recommended that you exhaust all gas before quitting for an extended period of time, and to come back just when the meter is about to be filled in order to be able to race in as many matches as possible.

Game Modes
ACR Drift provides to main game modes, namely Single Player and Multiplayer. The Single Player is the game’s story mode where in players would have to progress linearly across stages in order to push the story forward. There are minor races as well as boss battles that players must win in order to advance. However, players would still be able to go back to stages that they have already completed.

Under Single Player mode, players can also use Limited Race, which would limit their wins per car to ten, after which they could no longer be used, but with the credit rewards being much greater than usual. There are also Daily races which are challenges that will allow players to race using different cars against the computer for rewards.

Under Multiplayer, players can race one on one against other players. Like single player campaigns, this will also require gas and would also earn players bigger rewards while they compete against friends and strangers alike online.

Stars
Stars act like achievements that can be met for each race during Single Player campaigns. While attaining all stars will not give you credits in return, collecting stars will help in unlocking more content like new events. Players can return to previously completed stages in order to try and get all stars. Requirements for stars typically include finishing the race within a set period of time, scoring perfect drifts, and not using nitro, among others.

Vehicles
ACR Drift features several vehicles from reputable manufacturers such as Bugatti, Mazda, Mini, Bentley, and many more. While you are provided with your first vehicle for free, you’ll really have to work hard in order to get a vehicle that will be able to win you races at the latter stages. Each vehicle has different stats which may be upgraded in order to make them better. Also, some cars would be much suited at specific types of tracks, so select the best vehicle for the situation should you already have several in possession.

Cars may be purchased using either credits or gold, although some elite models may only require gold as payment. Players also have the option of changing the vehicle’s color in order to personalize its look.

Upgrades
Vehicles may also have their parts upgraded, with different parts improving different attributes of the car. These would also make them more suitable to different courses, such as straight course being better for those with high top speeds and nitro upgrades. Upgrades will require either gold or credits, with the prices getting higher depending on the level of the upgrade as well as the vehicle in question.

Players should take note, however, that vehicles may only be upgraded up to a certain limit, and sometimes it would be more prudent to buy a higher level one than to try and max out the part upgrades of one with a lower level.

Customizations
Players also have the option to customize their vehicles. Not only will it change the appearance of their cars, but some parts might even provide credit bonuses for each race. Like upgrades, customizations would require either gold or credits to purchase, while some would also be exclusive to premium currency purchases.

These purchases are best for those with money to burn and for those who would like to earn extra credits in addition to those that they might win when participating in races, and even to those who would like to give their vehicles a more personal look and feel.
