==========
FIRST HUNT
==========
Your first hunt in the game will teach you how to play the game, basically.
Go to the objective markers, kill your first deer, and claim your first trophy.

The first hunt will also teach you some of the hunting basics, which I will go
into in the next section of the guide. However, just know that the “First
Hunt” is the most linear part of the game. Everything else is open world and
free roam, so you are free to do as you please.

If you need to revisit the First Hunt, otherwise known as the Tutorial of the
game, press “minus” at any time when on the region choosing screen.

HUNTING BASICS
==============
There are some hunting basics that you need to know about before you get
started playing this game. These hunting basics will help you complete all of
the hunts that are in the game.

1. Check the map. You are going to want to constantly check your map to see
where the animals are, as well as keep an eye on where your scent is going.
Your scent is represented by a purple gas on the map. Animals in that gas will
detect you a lot quicker than other animals.

2. Tag animals. When you see an animal, you can tag them by aiming your
binoculars at them and pressing B.

3. Stay low. Stay crouched and move as slowly as possible. Watch out for
foilage that will make excess noise if you move through it, which can draw
attention to you.

4. Be aware of how much noise you’re making. When animals are making noises,
there will be a ripple effect on the screen. Moving at the same time as these
ripple effects.

5. Go for body shots! Headshots are unlikely to get the job done.

REGIONS
=======
In total, there are four regions in the game that span across North America.
Each region has its own set of “Pro Slams”, and “Accomplishments”. These are
challenges for you to complete in order to increase your overall completion
percentage in the game.

Below you will find each region and what you need to focus on hunting in each
region. Below the Pro Slams are the Accomplishment animals that you need to
hunt in each region. You will find how many of the animals that you need to
hunt of that type, as well as what you need to use to kill them in order to
register the accomplishment.

and you can check what your shot was like for taking down that animal, as well
as the location that you shot the animal, etc.

These are the different possible trophies in the game:

Black Bear
Blacktail Deer
Caribou

BACKPACK
========
In order to be successful at hunting, one needs to go into each hunt as
prepared as humanly possible, right? Before you set out in each region to go
on a hunt, you get to choose which gear to bring with you in your backpack.

Killing animals and collecting their trophies is how you can earn “Gear
Credits”. Gear Credits are the currency in the game. Spend them to purchase
new guns and other items in the game.
