Toy Rush Walkthrough [Guide]

Say what you want about Toy Rush, but this definitely wasn’t the way that you played with your toys back in the day. Featuring some awesome toys – in card form – Toy Rush aims to provide you with what might have happened if Toy Story had been a bit more mature. It’s going to take a lot of planning in both setting up your base and, on the other end, deploying your troops in order to assure complete destruction. Here’s our guide on how you will be able to lead your team to ultimate victory.

Gameplay
Toy Rush is a card collection and real time strategy game where in players will have to collect and manage cards for a variety of purposes. These would include setting up defences around your base, as well as building and upgrading structures within your territory. Cards can also be collected in order to acquire and deploy troops in enemies’ bases for the purpose of being able to get through their defences and destroying their base. Strategy and good card management is important to both increase your command center’s protection, as well as to have a good balance of cards that can penetrate all sorts of defences that enemies would be putting up.

Currency
Tickets and caps are the two main currencies within Toy Rush. Both Tickets and caps are used for the purchase of packs which would in turn comprise of cards that can bolster both your offensive and defensive capabilities. Both of these currencies are generously awarded as cards, as rewards for winning battles, and as rewards for daily logins and completing challenges.

Tickets can also be collected from the Ticket bot, which would automatically generate this over time with the amount and maximum capacity depending on its level. The maximum amount of tickets that you can have will depend on your piggy bank’s level. On the other hand, additional caps may be acquired via in-app purchases should you run out.

Aside from card packs, tickets can be used to battle with others in multiplayer mode. On the other hand, caps may be used as a substitute for tickets, and may also be used to purchase experience boosts, shields, and to bypass certain requirements that would not allow you to upgrade buildings.

Level
By engaging in battle, players would be able to earn experience points. Once enough has been earned, players can level up. Levelling up is important as it provides you with several advantages. For example, certain cards may only be used once you have reached a certain level. Also, some structures in your base will have a maximum level upgrade cap depending on your level. Thus, being able to level up will allow you to strengthen both your offensive and defensive capabilities later on.

Cards
Your cards are the lifeblood of the game. There are different cards available, and there are also various ways by which to acquire them. The usual ways are as rewards for winning missions, as well as by spending tickets or caps for card packs which can contain cards of different levels.

Cards come in many forms, and each will serve their purpose. Attack cards are consumable, and these are used for attacking enemy bases. Other cards are used for enhancements when both attacking and defending. Other cards include ones that will allow to build, enhance, and upgrade your buildings and towers in order to make them more productive and effective. There are even cards that will help you earn more experience, tickets, and caps once consumed.

In addition, there are super toys that also serve as attack toys, but can be reused after a specific period of time. Super toys can also be awoken using caps so you can use them immediately. Super toys can be levelled up by feeding other cards to them. Doing so will increase their level and make them stronger.

Base
Your base is where you will be building up your defences, as well as where you will be generating tickets. It is important to guard your base, especially your command center, as other players would be able to steal tickets from you. With that, players must create routes that enemies will be forced to travel, and they can surround these paths with towers that will launch attacks at them. There are also cards that can be placed on paths to slow them down or hurt them, among other effects.

Lastly, décor can also be used as an obstacle of sorts for enemies to cross, lengthening the distance between them and the structures that they would want to attack. Upgrading areas within your base will make them more effective. For example, upgrading your command center will provide you with more tiles to place towers on, while upgrading your piggy bank will allow you to increase your ticket storage capacity.

If you do not want to be attacked, then you may choose to buy shields that will prevent you from being attacked for a limited period of time. This can be purchased using caps.

Attacking
Players can do battle in a multitude of ways. Players can go through the game’s regular missions, and there are also special challenges that have a limited time limit. For the latter, rewards of increasing value will be provided the better your performance is, and winning will also earn players cards, tickets, and experience.

Toy Rush also has a multiplayer function where in players can attack each other. This will cost tickets, however, so make sure to attack only those that you can defeat. Not only will players be able to earn rewards, but they would be able to rank also in global leaderboards based on their win-loss records.

When attacking, make sure that you have a varied set of cards that you can deploy depending on the defences in front of you. Some towers work better against others, so take note of this by reading through the type and abilities of your cards. This also applies when defending, so make sure that your towers and hazards vary in your own base.

Achievements
Players may also get to complete achievements that will allow players to earn caps. Most of these achievements can be earned through regular gameplay, but you may also try and complete these first and foremost since the game does not provide you with a linear list of quests to follow. This is one of the best ways to earn free caps quickly, so check up on your progress from time to time.

Social Function
Toy Rush also provides players the chance to connect with others. Players can form and join clubs where in they would also be ranked in leaderboards based on how well they do against others in PvP. There’s also a chat function where in players can talk to others within and outside their club online.
