Are you ready to take on a fresh new RPG, as well as an exciting adventure that will take you to exciting but dangerous places? If so, then here’s our guide to get you started.

Gameplay
Battleheart Legacy is a role playing game where in players will be able to explore the map and go on various quests, defeating different types of enemies along the way. Players can visit towns and get different missions from NPCs, as well as explore dungeons and other areas where they can do battle with numerous types of creatures.

Constant improvement of your characters is necessary, and players would go about this by purchasing and equipping different gear as well as learning different active and passive skills from trainers which specialize in various classes. Your attributes as well as your equipped gear will determine as to which skills you would be able to learn and vice-versa.

Currency
Coins are the game’s main and only currency. Coins are used for purchasing new gear at the shop, and this is also required for learning new skills from trainers. Coins may be acquired as loot from defeated enemies, and by collecting from chests or from NPCs for which you have already completed assigned tasks. Currently, there is no way for players to earn additional coins via in-app purchases, so grinding is a must especially if you want to get top gear and learn more powerful skills.

Leveling Up
By defeating enemies and completing objectives within the game, players can earn experience points that will allow them to level up. Leveling up gives players the benefit of earning points which can then be spent on different attributes for your character. This is extremely important as some skills will require specific stats to be at a certain level before it can be learned. Thus, spend your upgrade points wisely especially if you are leaning towards focusing on belonging to one or two classes. However, having all around good stats is still necessary in order to be able to handle all types of situations especially in battle.

Attributes
There are various attributes that players can manipulate in order to become stronger. There are seven of them in all, ad these can be improved by spending upgrade points, which are earned each time players level up. Additionally, there are three additional base stats, namely Attack, Defense, and Speed, which can be upgraded temporarily by equipping better gear. Take note, however, that equipment provide only temporary enhancements while main attribute levels are permanent.

The strength attribute improves the damage caused by melee attacks, while the dexterity attribute improves light and ranged attacks while also enhancing your abilities to dodge. Intelligence improves the effectiveness of magic spells and items, while skill increases the chance for critical hits. Endurance increases your ability to carry heavier items as well as improves your total health, while lastly charisma is used in order to lower costs for training and buying items.

These attributes are important as, not only are they used for improving your character overall, as all classes focus on specific attributes, and players may not get to learn the skill that they want should the required levels for each attribute has been met.

Health
Health is a very important factor within the game as getting hit enough will kill your character. Players can take advantage of free health potions which can replenish your health. This resource, as well as your health, replenishes as you enter a new area, but do keep an eye on both of these as you might just run out of both even as you reach the end of the area. Upgrades in defense and overall health will help improve your ability to take damage, and a sound offensive and defense strategy will also be useful, such as not allowing yourself to be cornered or to attack from a distance.

Skills
Players can have up to four active skills, although more would be unlocked later on, and six passive skills learned. Active skills must be activated manually, and would have cooldown times before they can be used again. On the other hand, passive skills will be active for as long as they are equipped. Equipping the right combination of skills is necessary in order to have a well rounded character.

Also, it is important to note that certain skills cannot be used if you do not have the appropriate equipment in use. Skills can be acquired by training with masters, and this would require finding the said master as well as to pay coins for them. Take note also that skills would have to be learned in order from each particular master, and these would require that certain attributes be at a minimum level.

Classes
There are twelve different classes available within Battleheart Legacy, and players can learned different active and passive skills from them. Each class has their own specialties, and they would take advantage of having high levels of two or more attributes in order to become effective. Five classes will be available at the beginning of the game, but players will have to find the others before they can learn from them. Players would need to find all classes and train for the skills that would suit their style of play best.

Classes include the knight, which is a good tank character, the range which is good for ranged attacks, the ninja which can do less powerful but very fast attacks, and many more. Each class can take advantage of different items within the game, too, so equipping the right gear is essential especially if you want to benefit from the full effects of any skills that you may have learned from any of the classes that you have already encountered.

Equipment
Players can equip different items ranging from weapons, armor, accessories, and many more. Certain equipment are required for certain skills to be used, and some will also help enhance your attributes for as long as they are equipped. Some equipment must be purchased at the store using coins, while some can also be found in treasure chests. Mix and match your equipment to suit your style of play and to ensure that your favorite skills can take advantage of them.

Players may also sell items that they no longer want so they can get coins in return. They can also switch between different equipment at any point, but buying and selling can only be done at the shop.

Quests
Players can talk to other NPCs, and from time to time they will provide you with quests that you can complete in exchange for coins and other rewards. Quests typically require you to go to a certain area and to defeat enemies and bosses, so you should make sure that you are strong enough to handle the enemies there. Once you have completed the objective, then you can return to the place where you found the NPC to collect your prize.

Not only will questing earn you rewards that you can use to further upgrade your character, but these will also push the story forward and allow you to unlock the next stages of the game.
