1. Introduction and Controls
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Like all football games, Madden NFL 15 will put you in a variety of different situations that use different sets of controls.

On Xbox One, it is possible to bring up the controls and “snap” them to the side of the screen. Simply say “Xbox, Help”. Accessing the controls through the pause menu will automatically snap the controls as well if you don’t have a Kinect or simply opt out of using the voice commands.

These are the controls for the Xbox One version of the game. The following information for the controls was taken directly from the Xbox One “help” menu, essentially a digital manual for the game.

First off, I need to talk about offense. In football, offense describes the team that currently has the ball and is attempting to make a touchdown. The offensive team has different goals and plays differently than when they are on defense.

2. Starting the Game
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
The very first time you install and boot up Madden NFL 15, you will be greeted by a cut-scene. The cut-scene sets the stage for the game that you are about to play. You control the Panthers and the AI controls the Seahawks. The Seahawks have 26 points and your team has 21 points. It’s the 4th quarter and first down, and the ball is yours.

It’s the very last four quarters of the game, and you can win or lose this game and still continue. You can even replay it if you’d like. It’s the NFC Championship game, by the way.

After you finish the game, you then have to select your favorite NFL team. Upon doing this, you then have to choose your difficulty level. These are the options:

Rookie
Pro
All-Pro
All-Madden

Your difficulty really only counts towards the offline game. The game will be set to the “All-Pro” mode whenever you play a competitive game online by default.

Next up is choosing a button layout for calling plays. You have three options available to you:

Default Layout
Traditional Layout
Inverted Layout

The Default Layout will look like this:

XBOX
Y
X
A

PLAYSTATION
Triangle
Square
X

The Traditional Layout like this:

XBOX
X
A
Y

PLAYSTATION
Square
X
Triangle

and finally, the Inverted Layout looks like this:

XBOX
A
X
Y

PLAYSTATION
X
Square
Triangle

4. Skills Trainer
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
For those that don’t have a lot of experience with Madden games, the Skills Trainer is very useful and will help you learn how to play the game better. In fact, depending on what difficulty level you set for your game, you may be prompted to immediately go to the Skills Trainer before doing anything else in the game.

When you are selecting a drill, you can choose to watch a tutorial first and then do the drill, or skip directly to the drill. Some of the drills do not have tutorials, and so you can only do the drill in those cases.

Each drill will allow you to earn a Bronze, Silver, or Gold medal. Complete the drills to earn Ultimate Team packs.

=============
BASIC OFFENSE
=============
These drills will teach you the basics to football offense.

PASS TRAJECTORIES
—————–
[ ] 5/10 Bronze
[ ] 7/10 Silver
[ ] 9/10 Gold

The first part of the drill is a simple lob to the primary receiver, whose path is outlined in red. Wait for them to be clear after hiking the ball, and then tap the button icon above their head.

The second part of the drill is the same idea, except this time the runner will be going all the way to the endzone. Don’t be afraid to wait a couple of seconds before tossing the ball this time so that they have some more time to get across the field.

Third, fourth, and fifth parts of the drill are all the same as well.

The second half of the drill will require you to “bullet” pass the ball. This means holding in whatever button is designated to the receiver for a faster pass. Unlike the first half of the drill in which lobbing the ball typically means you should wait and watch how things play out before trying to make the pass, pretty much as soon as the icon appears and is solidified, you will want to make the pass. This will work in pretty much all bullet pass situations for this drill.

ACCELERATION BURST
——————
[ ] 5/10 Bronze
[ ] 7/10 Silver
[ ] 9/10 Gold

The Acceleration Burst is easy enough of a concept. Simply hold in the right trigger to move faster and make a touchdown. The first four parts will be moving to the right. The 6th part will be moving to the left. The rest will be random, but I found that the game almost always had me going to the right.

FIELD GOAL KICKING
——————
[ ] 6/10 Bronze
[ ] 8/10 Silver
[ ] 9/10 Gold

Kicking a field goal is easier than ever before in Madden NFL 15. You don’t have to guess how the wind trajectory is going to effect the ball based on the arrow and number on the screen anymore. Now you do have that arrow and number, but along with it, you have a trajectory that bends and sways with the wind to show you how your ball will be effected by the wind.

To start a field goal kick, first pull back on the right analog stick. Then push forward once the power meter is as high as you need it to be (the higher the better) to kick a field goal. The drills will have you fairly close to the goal for most of it, but then some distance kicks will be thrown in as well. The same idea applies to them, except you should click down the left stick while you are doing the field goal kick for added power behind it.

PUNTING
——-
[ ] 5/10 Bronze
[ ] 7/10 Silver
[ ] 9/10 Gold

Punting is similar in concept to going for a field goal when it comes to the controls. The cone is smaller when powering up your kick, and obviously your goals are different as well, and the drill challenges reflect that.

The game starts out slow. You have a large area to get the ball into. Don’t worry about the ball landing outside of the “hot spot” at first; the only thing that matters is that the ball winds up in the hot spot when it stops.

Receivers will be thrown into the mix about halfway through the drills. For them, you have to kick the ball a long distance and also kick it so that it goes out of bounds and they fail to receive the ball.

After a couple of rounds of this, the drill will switch up to a smaller hotspot. Kicking the ball beyond the hotspot, which was acceptable before, is no longer acceptable. The wind also plays a bigger factor than before as well. Because of this, you’re going to want to be more conservative with your kicks so that you don’t kick it as far down the field.

Something to remember about kicking, and this applies to field goals as well, is that the kick won’t start until you release the right analog stick. So after you push the stick forward to go for the kick, you must then release the stick so that the kick can be completed.

Eventually, you’ll have to get it into the 10 yard line, and then one of two squares directly in front of the endzone. Again, be conservative with your kicks and keep the wind factor into account.

OKLAHOMA OFFENSE
—————-
[ ] 5/10 Bronze
[ ] 7/10 Silver
[ ] 9/10 Gold

Every single round for this drill is the same idea. You simply have to run the ball to the endzone without being tackled and without stepping out of the small lane.

=============
BASIC DEFENSE
=============
The five drills here have been designed to teach you the basics of defense in Madden NFL 15.

NEW TACKLING MECHANIC
———————
[ ] 6/12 Bronze
[ ] 8/12 Silver
[ ] 10/12 Gold

Tackling is pretty self-explanatory. In this game, you use these controls for tackling:

XBOX
A – Conservative Tackle
X – Strong Tackle

PLAYSTATION
X – Conservative Tackle
Square – Strong Tackle

At first, you will be in a lane like an Oklahoma Drill. It will then mix it up by having you deal with defenders. At this point, feel free to switch to different players if you notice an opening that they can take. To switch between different players, press B for Xbox One and Circle for PlayStation systems.

NEW PASS RUSH CONTROLS
———————-
[ ] 4/7 Bronze
[ ] 5/7 Silver
[ ] 7/7 Gold

With this drill, your goal is to sack the quarterback. The QB gives you plenty of time to do this. In addition, the game will rate you on when you hit the accelerator (right trigger, remember) so this drill also provides a good opportunity to learn how to do that more efficiently.

In any case, as soon as the right trigger icon appears above your players’ head, pull that trigger to get a “perfect”. Now, even if you are given a “perfect”, that particular player may still get blocked. If that is the case, switch to another player and rush at the QB. Strong tackles are best used here.

NEW HIT STICK
————-
[ ] 4/10 Bronze
[ ] 6/10 Silver
[ ] 8/10 Gold

The hit stick refers to flicking the right stick towards the ball carrier when they are within the green radius that is in front of your player. This will initiate a successful tackle.

For this drill, you need to keep the ball carrier from getting a first down. The tricky part to it is figuring out which direction they’re going to move. Wait a second when the drill starts to see which way they go, and then make your move. If you start going one way and they end up going the other, you are pretty much going to automatically fail that part of the drill.

If you go out of bounds during this drill, it will let you reset on the current part of the drill without having to start all the way back over.

BALL HAWK
———
[ ] 4/10 Bronze
[ ] 6/10 Silver
[ ] 8/10 Gold

This drill is to teach you how to perform interceptions. Basically, when the QB throws the ball, press B (circle on PlayStation) to switch between players until you are one of the players near where the ball is thrown.

At that point, hold down the Y or Triangle button and hope for the best.

OKLAHOMA DEFENSE
—————-
6/10 Bronze
7/10 Silver
9/10 Gold

The first three rounds of this drill will have you automatically blocked. To get out of the block, tap the A button. Tilt the left stick in the direction you want to move after you get out of the block, and you should have plenty of time to take the ballcarrier out with a tackle.

The rest of the drill will be you starting in the endzone and having to watch which direction the ballcarrier will go. Most of the time, they will move towards their right. Just to be safe, wait a second to see which direction they start moving and then take them out with a tackle before they get close to the endzone.

=================
FOOTBALL CONCEPTS
=================
These drills cover more of the basic concepts behind the sport of football.

ATTACKING COVER 1
—————–
1/3 Bronze
2/3 Silver
3/3 Gold

This drill is good for teaching you how to play offense. Your goal is to get to the endzone. This is basic football. You will fail a round if you are stopped at the 4th down or if you throw an interception.

ATTACKING COVER 2
—————–
1/3 Bronze
2/3 Silver
3/3 Gold

Same idea as before, except your opponents will attempt to stop you in different ways. To get a medal for this, you just have to get a single touchdown, so it’s not too tough.

ATTACKING COVER 2 MAN
———————
1/3 Bronze
2/3 Silver
3/3 Gold

Same deal with this drill. Again, you just need to get to the endzone at least one time to get the Bronze.

ATTACKING COVER 3
—————–
1/3 Bronze
2/3 Silver
3/3 Gold

You may have noticed during these drills that sometimes the game will have large squares on the field for you to aim for. This is because these are the areas where you have the best bet of making passes.

ATTACKING COVER 4
—————–
1/3 Bronze
2/3 Silver
3/3 Gold

Another run for the endzone.

ATTACKING COVER 6
—————–
1/3 Bronze
2/3 Silver
3/3 Gold

The final run!

COUNTERING THE BLITZ
——————–
1/3 Bronze
2/3 Silver
3/3 Gold

This one is a bit more difficult, but it’s still the same concept. You get three chances to make it to the endzone with the ball and score a touchdown.

CURL FLAT READ CONCEPT
———————-
4/7 Bronze
5/7 Silver
7/7 Gold

For the first six parts of this drill, you just have to make successful passes and gain some distance. On the seventh and final part of the drill, you have to get a first down. So you don’t have to quite get the endzone (you’re right up near it), but you do have to get close.

STICK READ CONCEPT
——————
4/7 Bronze
5/7 Silver
7/7 Gold

Same idea, but the defense will be behaving differently. I found that the best player to throw to every single time in my game was the receiver that the “A” button was designated to. Just wait a couple of seconds after the snap, tap A, and you should succeed.

SMASH READ CONCEPT
——————
4/7 Bronze
5/7 Silver
7/7 Gold

Pretty much the same as before, except the final part of the drill doesn’t require you to get a first down, it’s just the same thing over and over again.

VERTICALS READ CONCEPT
———————-
4/7 Bronze
5/7 Silver
7/7 Gold

Again, read the defense, make a pass. However, for this one you have to get first down every play instead of just making a successful pass.

SLANT FLATS CONCEPT
——————-
4/7 Bronze
5/7 Silver
7/7 Gold

Make successful passes.

FLOOD READ CONCEPT
——————
4/7 Bronze
5/7 Silver
7/7 Gold

You can get gold on this one easy. Just toss the ball to your runners that stay on the same yard as you. All you need is a successful pass.

LEVELS PASS CONCEPT
——————-
4/7 Bronze
5/7 Silver
7/7 Gold

You know the “drill”. Hahah. Boy am I lonely.

DRIVE PASS CONCEPT
——————
4/7 Bronze
5/7 Silver
7/7 Gold

For almost every play here, you can just throw the ball to the guy designated to “B” and be successful at it. Just wait for him to start darting to the left a bit. He’ll put his hands out, and that indicates when you should throw the ball. Things will get changed up sometimes, so always be watching where your players are going and look for a guy that is open before you throw the ball.

SHALLOW CROSS CONCEPT
———————
4/7 Bronze
5/7 Silver
7/7 Gold

At the end of this drill, you have to get a first down for gold.

SPOT PASS CONCEPT
—————–
4/7 Bronze
5/7 Silver
7/7 Gold

Passing for days.

SPACING PASS CONCEPT
——————–
4/7 Bronze
5/7 Silver
7/7 Gold

Complete passes will make you succeed here.

DAGGER PASS CONCEPT
——————-
4/7 Bronze
5/7 Silver
7/7 Gold

This one doesn’t have a tutorial connected to it, but it is just a retread of the other drills in this category. Make successful passes. Get at least a bronze medal in each one for an achievement/trophy.

================
ADVANCED OFFENSE
================
For more advanced offensive techniques, this is where you need to go.

PASS PROTECTION ADJUSTMENTS
—————————
6/10 Bronze
7/10 Silver
8/10 Gold

Before you hike the ball, you can hold in the left bumper to bring up the pass protection wheel. It is here that you can order your defenders to change their positions before you go for a pass.

The game wants you to be able to read the positions of your opponents on the field and use that information to figure out which one of these calls you should make:

Slide Left
Slide Right
Pinch
Max

The trick to figuring this out is to see which ones you get wrong and memorize the position of the opposition on the field, as the game will tell you which call you should’ve made. Then the next time you see this set-up, you can much more easily make the correct call.

PRECISION MODIFIER
——————
6/12 Bronze
8/12 Silver
11/12 Gold

A few different advanced techniques for avoiding tackles will be taught here. Almost all of them require you to hold the left trigger, and then when the defender is in range of you (the player indicator cursor underneath your feet will flash), press the button combination described to perform the move, then get to the endzone for a TD.

TOTAL CONTROL PASSING
———————
5/10 Bronze
7/10 Silver
9/10 Gold

Before you pass, you are able to change the way you throw the ball by tilting the left stick in one of four directions. This drill just challenges you to do this 10 times, and it’s a very simple exercise overall.

USER CATCHING
————-
4/10 Bronze
6/10 Silver
8/10 Gold

You can take more control over passes by switching to the player that catches the ball. To do this, first throw a pass. Then tap the player switch button to automatically switch to the player that the ball was thrown to.

After doing that, hold in the Y/Triangle button to make the successful catch.

THE OPTION
———-
5/10 Bronze
7/10 Silver
9/10 Gold

You have three choices. You can pitch the ball with the left bumper, hand off the ball with A (X on PlayStation), or you can just run the ball as the QB.

If you are only concerned with getting a bronze medal (which is all that is required for achievement/completion purposes), then you can just run the ball each time and you will automatically get bronze, probably even silver.

Otherwise, you have a split second to decide what to do. You just need to watch the opposing team to see which direction they’re going so that you can determine what you need to decide as the QB.

TRIPLE OPTION
————-
5/10 Bronze
7/10 Silver
9/10 Gold

Same idea as the previous drill, except it’s a bit tougher to get the read. You can’t just run the QB each time and get a medal. You need to watch your opponents and be mindful of where your players are as well for each play in order to be successful here.

MIDLINE OPTION
————–
5/10 Bronze
7/10 Silver
9/10 Gold

By watching where your opponents are moving, you have to determine whether you should run the ball with the QB or hand off the ball. Remember to hand off the ball use A (Xbox) or X (PlayStation).

INVERTED VEER OPTION
——————–
4/10 Bronze
6/10 Silver
8/10 Gold

Again, same as the last drill except the opposing team will come at you in a different manner. Unlike the other “final” drills in the other categories, there is still a tutorial available for you before you attempt this drill.

STRATEGY
========
Learn more about the strategy behind football with these drills.

BACKED UP AT GOAL LINE
———————-
[ ] 3/6 Bronze
[ ] 5/6 Silver
[ ] 6/6 Gold

In this situation, you are in your endzone. This drill is designed to teach you how to avoid suffering a safety. Just get the first down in any way possible. You have four chances to do this and get tackled and everything as long as you don’t get a safety.

RED ZONE OFFENSE
—————-
[ ] 4/7 Bronze
[ ] 6/7 Silver
[ ] 7/7 Gold

The “red zone” refers to when you are right near the end zone and about to make a TD.

If you manage to get to the gold medal for this drill (which is very easy to do), then you will get a chance to go for the 2 pt conversion.

RED ZONE DEFENSE
—————-
[ ] 4/7 Bronze
[ ] 6/7 Silver
[ ] 7/7 Gold

Now you’re on the other side of the tracks, so to speak. Just interrupt each play by the other team. For gold, they will have four downs to try to get to the endzone, so it’s a bit tougher, but you can still just take them out without too much trouble.

NEW ADJUST COVERAGE
——————-
[ ] 4/10 Bronze
[ ] 6/10 Silver
[ ] 8/10 Gold

Before each round in this drill, the game will actually tell you which adjust coverage to call. To call an adjust coverage, tap the Y or Triangle button and then a bunch of different options will pop up. Choose the option that the game tells you to by hitting one of the buttons or flicking one of the sticks in the proper direction.

After that, you just have to keep the other team from either getting to the endzone or getting a first down.

OFFENSIVE HOT ROUTES
——————–
[ ] 8/15 Bronze
[ ] 10/15 Silver
[ ] 12/15 Gold

Hot routes describe orders you can give your teammates. Before hiking the ball, press the Y or Triangle button, and then call the out the hot route that the game tells you to. Then after doing that, throw a successful pass.

DEFENSIVE ADJUSTMENTS
———————
[ ] 5/10 Bronze
[ ] 7/10 Silver
[ ] 9/10 Gold

Call the adjustments that the game tells you to call, and then stop the offense from making the TD or getting the first down.

OFFENSIVE AUDIBLES
——————
[ ] 5/8 Bronze
[ ] 6/8 Silver
[ ] 7/8 Gold

Audibles are called by pressing X (Xbox) or Square (PlayStation) before the hike. Call the audibles that the game requires, and then get a first down in order to be successful at this drill.

DEFENSIVE AUDIBLES
——————
[ ] 5/8 Bronze
[ ] 6/8 Silver
[ ] 7/8 Gold

Defensive audibles are the same idea as offensive audibles, except you want to stop the other team from getting a first down, obviously.

========
GAUNTLET
========
New in Madden NFL 15 is the Gauntlet. This consists of 25 levels that use the various Skill Trainer mini-games as its levels, with every five levels indicating a “boss round”.

The challenges will be different depending on what difficulty level you’re playing on in the game. However, the boss rounds are all the same, though sometimes more difficult.

You get five lives while in the Gauntlet. Losing all five of your lives means you have to start back at the beginning of the Gauntlet.

BOSS – HURRICANE SEASON
———————–
The first boss level has you kicking a field goal from all the way on the other side of the field using hurricane force winds. The trick is to watch the trajectory; it will be bending back and forth, and you need to time your pulling on the right stick so that when you push forward, the trajectory is in the middle of the field goal.

BOSS – ENTOURAGE
—————-
This one is kind of funny. As you move down the field, your blockers will be moving ahead of you in a big wave, holding back the other team. About halfway down the field, kick in the acceleration burst by holding in the right trigger so that you can zoom ahead to the endzone while all of the opposing team members are still struggling to their feet.

BOSS – RB GAUNTLET
——————
There are four guys trying to stop you from getting a TD, and your goal is to get by them using various dodging moves such as jukes and using the acceleration wisely in order to get a touchdown. The first two are very easy to dodge just by weaving around and zipping right by them, but by the time you get to the second two, it becomes a lot more difficult. You may want to ease up on the acceleration burst for a couple of seconds and hopefully it  recharges by the time you need it, and don’t forget about using jukes. If you get close to the endzone, tap X (Xbox) or Square (PlayStation) to perform a dive to ensure that you can get the TD.

BOSS – EXTEND THE PLAY
———————-
The fourth boss requires you to make passes in very specific areas of the
field. There are various hotspots that are highlighted, and you simply have to
make the pass and have your player catch the ball while in the field. Sometimes
you can make the pass just before they catch the ball, and as long as they
step into the hotspot very soon after catching the ball.

BOSS – MEDIA DAY
—————-
The final boss of the gauntlet is hilarious and awesome. The field is covered
with various news reporters and football journalists and cameramen. There are
also people from your team and the opposing team, too, and their goal is to
stop your progress. Your goal? To get from one end of the field to the endzone
on the opposite side and score a touchdown while avoiding all of the obstacles
on the field. Remember to use your jukes and other evasive maneuvers when the
other football players try to take you out, but also watch out for the various
other people on the field, as running into them can just as easily cause you
to lose your balance and fall to the ground.

5. Connected Franchise
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
You can choose to play an Online Connected Franchise mode or an Offline Connected Franchise mode. As you start, you have the choice of using the default roster or importing a custom one.

After choosing whether or not you want to be Online or Offline, you then have to choose one of three roles as always. Here are the three different roles you can select for the Connected Franchise:

-Player
-Coach
-Owner

The differences between the three different career types are obvious. As a player, you directly control only your player in the games. If you choose to play through the career as a coach, you will be able to sign new players to your team as well as call plays. The coach can control every player on both offense and defense, so choosing the coach is very similar to typical Madden franchise gameplay that you’re probably used to in the other game modes.

And finally, there’s the owner career. As the owner, you can manage your stadium, set the prices for what is sold at your stadium, and manage your team.

Let’s say you choose to do a player career. If you do, then you will then have one of three options. You can create a player, choose an active player that is currently in the NFL, or you can choose to play as a legendary NFL player. Your stats will be lowered to rookie status so that the game doesn’t become broken.

Listing all of the players currently in the NFL would be ridiculous, but I am going to list all of the legendary players that are available to choose from in the game. These are the different Legendary players that are available for the Connected Franchise mode:

Barry Sanders
Cris Carter
Curtis Martin
Dan Marino
Dave Casper
Deacon Jones
Deion Sanders
Derrick Brooks
Night Train Lane
Emmit Smith
Franco Harris
Fred Biletnikoff
George Blanda
Isaac Bruce
Jack Ham
Jerry Rice
Mean Joe Greene
Joe Montana
John Elway
John Mackey
John Randle
Kellen Winslow
Kurt Warner
Lawrence Taylor
Marshall Faulk
Michael Irvin
Mike Ditka
Otto Graham
Randall Cunningham
Ray Lewis
Reggie White
Rod Woodson
Ronnie Lott
Sammy Baugh
Shannon Sharpe
Steve Largent
Steve Young
Troy Aikman
Walter Payton
Warren Moon
William Perry
William Perry (2)

You can also choose to create a coach, choose an active coach, or pick an NFL Legend coach. Here are the NFL Legend coaches included in Madden NFL 15:

Bill Walsh
Dick Vermeil
Jimmy Johnson
Joe Gibbs
John Madden
Mike Ditka
Tom Flores
Tom Landry
Vince Lombardi

Finally, you can create an owner, choose an active owner, or choose an NFL Legend owner. Here’s the NFL Legend owners in the game:

Art Rooney Sr.
Eddie DeBartolo Jr.

In-between games, there’s a variety of things you can do in Connected Franchise. You can upgrade yourself, check out your history, look at your goals, prepare for the next game, read the top in-game news stories in the NFL, check a list of actions that need to be taken next, check out your team, leage stats, awards, transactions, schedule, leaderboards…It’s all there for you to divulge in while in-between league games.

6. Ultimate Team
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Like most EA Sports titles, Ultimate Team mode is available in Madden NFL 15.

A good way to get a headstart on the Ultimate Team mode is by playing through the Skill Trainer challenges. You can earn MUT packs by just getting a bronze medal on each challenge. It is somewhat time-consuming, but it is also easy to do.

The first step to starting an Ultimate Team game is to choose which uniform your team will use. You can choose any team in the league, even if it doesn’t match with whichever team you chose as your favorite at the start of the game.

After choosing a uniform, the next step is choosing a style. You will get a starter pack of four players and one coach that fit within the style category you choose.

These are your choices and the benefits from choosing them. The Offensive styles will be colored blue and the Defensive style will be colored yellow. If you decide to change your style later, you are free to do so.

Open up your pack of cards simply by scrolling through all of them. Once you have done that, you can press the equivalent of the start button to proceed to the next area.

This next area is the hub for Ultimate Team mode. You can find various information here, but what you need to pay attention to first is the “Getting Started” title, so click on that now.

This gives you a checklist of things to do (by the way, you will get an achievement/trophy at this point simply for starting an Ultimate Team) in order to get Ultimate Team bonuses. You’ll notice that two objectives have been checked off the list already.

[X] Choose Uniform
[X] Choose Style
[ ] Open Welcome Pack
[ ] Use Best Lineup
[ ] Play A Solo Challenge

Okay, so allow me to walk you through the rest of this goal list so that you have an understanding of what you need to do in Ultimate Team mode.

As you see, you will have 50 coins right now. Click on the Open Welcome Pack objective and it will take you directly to the store. The objective list is convenient in that all you need to do is click on an objective and it will take you directly where you need to go in order to proceed.

You need to use the 50 coins you have already on your account to purchase the Welcome Pack. Unlock your new cards and then return to the Objectives screen.

Choose the “Use Best Lineup” objective. Once you get to this screen, tap the Y button (triangle on PlayStation) to use the Lineup Tools. Use the tools to generate the best possible lineup of cards based on the cards that you currently have in your deck.

Now go to the Challenges screen. Here you have a variety of challenges that fall underneath the following categories:

Training Camp
Regular Season
Elite
Style
NFL Legacy
Mystery
MUT Master

Complete just one challenge to satisfy your current set of objectives. At this juncture, you should have a pretty good grasp on how to run your Ultimate Team and what you need to do in order to continue being successful at it.

8. Online Head to Head
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Online Head to Head is the standard online mode for Madden NFL 15. When you play online, the difficulty level is set to All-Pro for online matches automatically, so be sure to start playing the other game modes on that difficulty or higher before you jump into the online game modes.

Online multiplayer can also be accessed through other avenues, such as the Ultimate Team mode. In Ultimate Team, you use your Ultimate Team roster in the games, which means that they will typically have lower stats than the main roster players.
