Call of Duty: Heroes Walkthrough [Guide]

At first glance, Call of Duty: Heroes will not be what you expect from the ever-popular video game franchise. Instead of first person style gaming, this title is more Clash of Clan-esque, with building and battling strategies being the main concept of the game. It still has that distinctive Call of Duty flavor, however, as players will be able to experience the same excitement as if you are on the battlefield yourself. Strengthen your base and make your collection of troops the best among all others. Here’s our guide on how to play Call of Duty: Heroes so that you can be the best that you can be against any and all foolish enough to stand in your way.

Gameplay
Call of Duty: Heroes is a building and battle strategy game where in the main goal is to build your base for both offensive and defensive purposes. Resource and troop management is also very important in order to fully enhance your base as well as your forces. There are single and PvP battles that players can participate in, and those that are able to repel attackers and destroy other bases the most, whether as an individual or as a group, will be rewarded and regarded as one of the best players in the world.

Currency
Celerium is regarded as the game’s premium currency. Celerium can be acquired via in-app purchases, and completing quests and scoring high in PvP battles will also allow you to earn this resource. Celerium may be used to speed up tasks such as training troops and building and upgrading structures. These may also be used to purchase items like additional builders and other resources that you may build to enhance your base.

Gold and oil are the other two resources that you will get to encounter within the game. Gold and oil may be acquired by mining and by attacking other bases, among other methods. Players may choose to increase the maximum capacity of gold and oil that they can carry through upgrades and by building depots. Protecting these areas is also a must as these items are used for building, upgrading, training, and finding opponents to fight in PvP mode.

Leveling Up
By building, upgrading, completing quests, and performing other actions, players will get to earn experience points. Once enough has been earned, the player’s leader level will increase. Having a high leader level will open up more quests for you to complete, which would in turn give you more chances to earn rewards and improve your base further.

Building
Players can build various structures within their base, and each would serve a particular purpose. For example, gold and oil mines can let you earn resources while depots will increase your capacity of these items. There are also training facilities that can be build in order to train and upgrade troops as well as defensive structures that will fend off anyone that will attack your base.

Building will require either gold or oil or both as well as time, but Celerium may also be used to speed things up. Upgrading structures is also possible, and this will make these buildings more effective as well as increase the amount of damage that it can take. Both building and upgrading will require Builders, and more can also be acquired by spending premium currency.

The most important part of your base, and the one that you should defend the most, is the command center. Upgrading it is also a must as it will increase and unlock new structures as well as allow you to level them up further. Make sure to arrange your structures in such a way that the command center is properly defended and that other areas would also be surrounded by defensive units, too, giving attackers a more difficult time to penetrate your base.

Troops
Troops can be trained so that they can be deployed to other bases. Training centers can be purchased and upgraded so that new units will become available or have their base abilities improved. Having a good balance of units is integral as each unit has different statistics and behavior, making them more effective against certain structures while weak against others. Learning this as well as deploying them strategically is important so that even more toughly defended bases can be destroyed more easily.

Deployment yards are where your troops will be stored until you choose to deploy them. Deployment yards can be upgraded so that you can carry more troops. This is determined by the sum of the cost of each unit that you have trained. Take note also that deployed troops will be gone after the battle whether they die in the field or not.

Heroes
Heroes are special characters that you can recruit and deploy in battle. Heroes can be unlock by either reaching a certain level or clearing a specific country in single player mode. Heroes have special skills that can be called upon in battle, and these can be triggered using skill points which are earned by destroying structures. Accumulated skill points may also be spent to upgrade heroes’ abilities, making them stronger permanently. A hero’s skills and base abilities may also be increased by using them in battle as they earn experience as well.

Battles
Players can do battle either in single player or PvP mode. Concepts are similar, such that the main goal is to destroy everything in sight, specifically their command centers, without losing all of your troops. In single player mode, players will have to clear different missions across unlockable countries, and they can also earn stars based on how much damage they have dealt.

As for PvP, players will have to spend oil to find players to attack. Other players may also choose to attack you, which is why having defensive units like sentry guns, turrets, barriers, and mines is a must. Players can not only earn gold and oil in both PvP and single players mode, but winning and successfully defending your base against other players may also help you rank in monthly leaderboards through accumulated Reputation Points which would then make you eligible to getting Celerium and other prizes as rewards.

Quests
Quests are objectives that players can try to complete in exchange of rewards. Quests serve as tutorials so that players will be acquainted with playing the game. Rewards will include resources and experience as well as Celerium so make sure to focus all of your efforts towards completing quests once they appear. New quests will appear once previous ones have been completed.

Shields
Shields are items that, when activated, will protect your base from getting attacked. This will give you ample time to build up your base and gather enough resources so that you can properly defend your territory. Different shields are available for purchase using Celerium. Be careful, though, as attacking other players will deactivate your shield, allowing other players to find and attack you again.

Social Function
Call of Duty: Heroes has a social function where in players can chat with each other online. In addition, players may also create and join alliances, which is especially important if you want to earn premium currency for free. Joining active alliances that are strong individually will allow you to earn more Reputation Points as a group, and the game will reward high ranking alliances with Celerium. Thus, join powerful alliances and make sure to do your part so that you can get the most out of the game.

Daily Rewards
Call of Duty: Heroes rewards players that connect to the game regularly. Prizes that can be won via daily rewards include oil, gold, experience, Celerium, and many more. The more consecutively you play, the bigger and better the prizes that you will get. Thus, make sure to log in every day in order to take advantage of this particular feature.
