Pokemon X and Y: Mega Stones Location Guide

Pokemon X and Y introduced Mega Evolution through Mega Stones. Mega Evolution is one step above the max evolution of a Pokemon and is a temporary power boost as the Mega Evolution will wear out after the battle ends. So far we have 26 confirmed Pokemon that can be Mega Evolved but thanks to the power of the 3DS this could change. Developers Game Freak could easily add more via events (like the Torchic event) or DLC so keep a lookout for those.

Mega Stones are really useful as they help increase your Pokemon’s stats in battle, the downside is that you can only Mega Evolve one Pokemon in your party per battle. Still I really like Mega Evolutions as help competitive battlers as myself come up with new strategies to defeat the opponent.
