Microsoft has started sending free codes for eligible buyers who others can purchase it from the official website.
Halo The Master Chief Collection is an expected blockbuster hit for Microsoft, because the newly launched next gen title hardly has any must have exclusives. The next iteration in the franchise is scheduled for October and with a whole year to wait for; players brought the collection without complaints last year. However, their expectation went down when they found the game was excessively buggy and had a lot of issues. While the developers tried to fix it by launching multiple patches, they had to compensate the losses made, which is when the free ODST offer was announced.
Eligible Players
Players who purchased Halo the Master Chief Collection between the month of November 11 and December 19 are eligible to receive a free copy of the Halo 3 ODST game. The original title was released in 2009 and this is a re-mastered version of the game which is coming to the Xbox One console for the first time. By removing the ability to play Xbox 360 games on the new platform, the developers have found a way to port all older games and sell it with a new price tag. If you don’t mind paying twice for the same game, you could go ahead with the purchase in case you are not an eligible player to receive it for free.
Microsoft Rolls out Codes
The system automatically detects all the players who purchased the Master Chief Collection on the said date. Microsoft has started sending free codes to those people who activated the game within the stipulated time period.
