In the official Major Nelson page, it has been confirmed that players who have already subscribed to the $60 a year, Xbox Live Games with Gold program will be receiving two free Xbox One games every month, starting with July.
While the PC gamers enjoy discounts and humble bundle offers, players on Playstation 4 and Xbox One rely on the subscription programs. It is mandatory to buy the packages because it allows them to enjoy multiplayer gaming, play demos, get DLCs and also experience special discounts whenever a sale pops up. Above all, both Sony and Microsoft have a tradition of offering free games every month for all the consoles under their tree. Sony gives free games for PS3, PS4 as well as PS Vita while Microsoft has Xbox 360 which now adds Xbox One to the list.
Free Xbox One Games
The blog post confirmed that Xbox One games has now been added to the Xbox Live subscription. Players who have paid $60 will now be eligible to receive a free title every month. The first is going to be an amazing one – Assassin’s Creed Black Flag. While the last launch, Unity was such a disaster due to so many bugs at launch, Black Flag is one great game for sure.
It sets you in the world of seas and makes you a pirate assassin for the first time. Players who have missed it or haven’t played it in a long time could download it on their Xbox One console to enjoy cruising the seas again. Another game which is being offered under the gold program is the indie hit So Many Me. Both games are worth downloading and with this offer, a whole new world of titles will soon be available for free on the next gen console.
Xbox 360 titles
The games for gold free titles didn’t forget the previous generation Xbox 360 console. For the month of July, the console will get access to two amazing titles, Gears of War 3 and Plants vs. Zombies. Just don’t confuse Plants vs. Zombies with the newer Garden Warfare. This one is the classic title that made the franchise so popular in the first place. It is a top down strategic game where you have to make sure zombies don’t make their way into the house or the game ends. The blog promised that every month more awesome titles will be added to both consoles.
