According to new rumors, the Mojang and Telltale Games will come with some more details about the new Story Mode experience for Minecraft. This will happen during the Minecon event that will be held on July 4-5, 2015 in London.
According to a Twitter from the Telltale Games, it seems that the studio is going to tell a story during the Minecon event, regarding the new event that’s about to come. However, Telltale Games doesn’t want to reveal what gameplay the Story Mode will come with or how it will be integrated into the game.
The Minecraft: Story Mode will come with an episode structure, likewise all the other Telltale Games series, and the first one will be introduced this year on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and mobile devices.
It seems that Mojang is not aiming to come with a back story of the protagonist of the game and instead they are focusing on the classic mechanics, with some choices that you can make, which will lead to different consequences. This type of Story Mode has been noticed on other successful games series such as “The Walking Dead”.
We remind you that during the E3 2015 press conferences, Microsoft has used the Minecraft game to demo their new HoloLens device. That impressed a lot of players, and we’re pretty sure that a lot of them will want to try them out. However, it’s not clear yet if the same experience will be offered to the users.
According to Mojang, more content packs will be released for Minecraft and it seems that the PlayStation platforms will receive soon enough a dedicated DLC pack that will feature LittleBigPlanet.
However, the development team and Microsoft didn’t announce if they are going to create a full sequel sometime in the future.
