Alien: Isolation guide: Mission 17 Walkthrough

Mission 17: Desolation

Your first objective is to Restore Power to the Solomons Habitation Tower Transit. Head off the elevator and up the left wall, using your Cutting Torch to cut the panel off the door you need to get through. Move into the nearby room and access the Sevastolink terminal, browsing to the Personal folder and choosing the Code for Repair Job file. Read this file to find the door code 1851.

Head back into the main area and turn to your right, looking for the door with the passcode lock. Input the code, 1851 and move inside pressing to the control room and choosing the option to Reboot Power Systems on the console. Now backtrack out the door and into the main area once more. Save your game and then use the level on the door to open up the control booth. Be careful of the face-hugger inside and once he is disposed of, and the nasty big brother Alien is away approach the desk and interact with it to Initialize Transit System.

Now your objective is to Access spaceflight Terminal Through Habitation Area. Exit the room and move to Towerlink 01, calling the transit car. Once it arrives hop onboard and interact with it to move to the next area. At your destination step off the car and use your Motion Tracker to spot the direction of your objective. Follow the tracker to an elevator and interact with it to head to Spaceflight Terminal. You’ll encounter an issue with the elevator and be forced to Find Alternate Route to Spaceflight Terminal.

Climb out of the elevator and head through the door on your right. Follow the corridor as it curves left and avoid the burning Joe by ducking into the door labeled Canteen when you see it on the left side. Now move to the far right corner and access the terminal, scrolling to the Personal folder and grabbing the code 1984. Leave the terminal and move to the right side of the room if you’re facing the door you entered through. Follow the wall until you spot the glass case and use the code, 1984 to unlock it and gain access to a keycard. Now head to the center of the room and activate the generator here to raise the forklift and pass under the luggage once it rises high enough.

Follow this corridor until you can turn left and look for a door on the right. Use your Cutting Torch to open it and pass through it. Press down this long corridor all the way to the exit and you’ll be in a room resembling a longue. On the wall to your right you should see a save game terminal, take advantage of it as the next moments of your life in this game will be very intense.

After saving your game hop into the nearby vent and move through it to the next room. Your objective is in the corner, but as usual you’ll need to find the Keycard to get through. Search the area to find the keycard you need next to a dead body. Return to the door and use the card to get through. Backtrack to the save game terminal and then out to door to the right. Travel down the corridor past the Dormitories and into the Games Room. This should allow you to double back into a room with an air hockey table and next to that door is a lever. Use the level and your objective will update to Restart Generator. Make your way back through the area where you recently used the keycard and approach the 2000-KJVS Generator, interacting with it to restore power and return to your previous objective Find Alternate Route to Spaceflight Terminal.

Head back to the Games Room and hop into the vent, following it straight and then taking a right to exit near an elevator that will take you to the Spaceflight Terminal. Once the elevator drops you off you’ll need to Find a way for the Torrens to Dock so whip out your Motion Tracker and starting sprinting towards your objective. Head down the stairs and finally pass through the Station Maintenance door with the help of your Cutting Torch and step onto the elevator to head to the Tow Platform and the last leg of your journey.
