Poker Is Not An Exclusive Game For Men
Talk about Poker is talk about Doyle Brunson, Johnny Chan, T.J. Cloutier, Howard Lederer and other legends. Most good players are men and the record of WSOP winners proves it. Nevertheless, women players like Jennifer Tilly, Kathy Liebert, Jennifer Harman, Annie Duke and Cyndy Violette are clear evidence of a new generation of poker players, curiously all them from the United States. Jennifer Tilly was the first woman that won a WSOP golden bracelet in 2005 in the style No Limit Texas Hold'em for women. She shares this activity with her career as a Hollywood actress and is known as The Unabombshell in the Poker's world.
Kathy Liebert is another Poker player of Texas Hold'em Not Limit with much prestige in Las Vegas. She is currently ranked in the top ten money winners at the World Series of Poker for women. Among her main achievements are: won the inaugural Party Poker million in 2001, won a Limit Hold'em Shootout event in WSOP 2004 and reached three WPT final tables, with a 3rd place as the best result. Annie Duke is one of the most important female winners in history of the World Series of Poker. Annie comes from a poker family because her older brother Howard "The Professor" Lederer taught her all poker's secrets. She is also known as "The Duchess of Poker". Her main achievement was won an Omaha High-Low event in WSOP 2004.
Finally, Cyndy Violette completes our list of talent female players. Cyndy won a Seven Stud Hi Low in WSOP 2004 and in the same year, she also finished 5th in WPT ladies night. For more than twenty years, she has been a top Poker player.
