You should really consider picking two gathering professions while you level up, but I would avoid picking herbalism and mining together because you can only have one form of tracking at a time. Upgrading your bags.

If you are serious about making money whale up there is no way you can live without anything short of a 16 slot bag, and you should consider at least an 18 or 20 slot bag. The biggest waster of time is repeated trips to a mailbox or auction house and the easiest way to avoid these wasted trips is to have bigger bags. If you have any friends that do tailoring you should ask them to make you some bags, otherwise usurer early profits to upgrade your backpacks immediately.
