The home is 2 levels and there is a staircase that allows creatures to move freely between letters. The staircase is not permanently placed in home. It can be moved to any desirable location.

Though the home appears as a complete home, you can open the house to access the inside. Here you can decorate the Calico Critters’ home as your imagination desires. Though the home does not come with furniture, these sets are sold separately. You can purchase kitchen, living room and bedroom sets, or you could make your own for a personal touch. Multiple sets are available for each room.

The home includes light fixtures throughout the townhome, but batteries are needed to run these. Batteries are not included inside the original package, so you will need to purchase two AA batteries.
