A pile of screenshots have been unearthed that show the new bits coming to the Ultimate Evil Edition of Diablo 3 - ie. 'the new console version' - on 19th August.
There's a look at the Nemesis system, which lets you avenge friends' deaths; there's a look at the in-game mailbox with which you can send items to friends; and there's a glimpse at Trap Kills. These bestow bonuses when you use environmental traps to crush enemies, I guess.
You can also get XP bonuses for Massacres - killing lots of enemies in a row - or speed bonuses for destroying lots of objects. An Apprentice mode, pictured, lets you invite lower-level friends into your game and have them be pumped to your relative power. Playing in multiplayer also gives bonus XP, gold and magical find.
The Ultimate Evil Edition of Diablo 3 - coming to PS3/360 and PS4/One - adds the Reaper of Souls expansion pack plus all the patched-in extras of the PC version. It's not clear whether that includes the nearly-here PC content Leaderboards will track a variety of competitive player data including Greater Rifts clear times, Seasonal achievement point totals, and Seasonal Conquest completion ranking across several different game styles. Designed to be informative and detailed, Leaderboards will also allow you to compare your progress to that of players within your gameplay region, on your friends list, and in your clan roster.
New Feature: The Cesspools
In patch 2.1.0 and moving forward, players will now have a chance to spawn a new level environement while in a Nephalem Rift or Greater Rift: The Cesspools.Originally designed as the sewers of Westmarch, we weren't quite able to include the Cesspools in the list of playable environments in Reaper of Souls by the time the expansion launched.
