Whether it's too hot or too cold outside, being cooped up indoors with nothing to do is far from the best way your kid is looking to spend time. But being indoors doesn't have to be boring! It's time to put on your creative hat and have some fun at home!
Here are some games that your kids can play indoors:
1.
The Production Of The Playful PuppetsIf your kid is a fan of Sesame Street, then this game is a great idea. Have your kids try on finger puppets and ask them to put on a production play with their characters. An alternative to finger puppets could be stuff toys. Allow your kids the liberty to construct and develop the entire play.
2.
Who Builds The Tallest TowerGet ready to bring out all the LEGO. Announce a contest, and set out a challenge. Every kid loves a bit of competition. It keeps them interested. But make sure to designate a peacemaker, who will supervise fair play. The winner gets an extra cookie with milk!
3.
Puzzles, Board & Card GamesUtilizing these games, you are exercising your kids' creative and cognitive abilities. If you can foresee a weekend at home, then it's always a good idea to have a few puzzles and card/board games in stock. Some popular board games are Monopoly Junior, Nursery Rhyme Games, Candy Land and perhaps even Chess!
4.
Freeze! For this game, you will need some great tunes on a high volume. Let your kids dance to their favorite tune, and then suddenly and unexpectedly switch off the music. The kids will have to "freeze" in whatever position they are in when the music ceases. The game is a guaranteed fun!
5.
A Treasure HuntInspired by their famous cartoon characters like Dora, the Explorer or Diego Marquez (Go Diego Do), let your kids become adventurers. Draft a few easy clues that lead to the treasures along the way. So, with every clue that they find, it is accompanied by a small treasure. You could use pennies or coins as treasures.
