What's more, the Arena Skirmish Bonus Event will come this Wednesday, December 2 to offer three times honor. It is time to buy cheap wow gold and crack some skulls to win some rewards. But before that, you may need to know well about Skirmish thus to take some advantages. Here is some information about its background, pvp form, rewards, etc.

Arena Skirmish Bonus Event in December 2 - 7

This week in WoW features the Arena Skirmish bonus event, which will be live from December 2 to 7 in 2015. At that time, winning skirmishes will award honor, which is tripled during the event this weekend, and a bonus. This bonus will be in the form of extra XP for low-level characters, while for Level 100 characters, it will be a Strongbox that contains gold, additional honor, or possibly a piece of PVP gear. Besides, the event quest from The Arena Calls will award 500 Conquest points for every 10 Arena matches players win.

Skirmishes firstly came in The Burning Crusade

For newcomers, Skirmishes may be something new, but veteran players would know that this form of pvp was originally introduced in The Burning Crusade along with the arenas. Unfortunately they were not used much, and ended up in Cataclysm, being replaced by War Games. In Warlords of Draenor, they were re-introduced due to the lack of casual play for arenas and an increase in solo-queuing activities. As a practice mode for rated arenas, plus the rating is not affected by the outcome of the match, Skirmishes are a good way for people to practice pvp at different compositions or talents. Similar to the dungeon finder, they allow people queuing up for casual play with friends or solo. In order to match groups and keep skill levels balanced, there is a hidden matchmaking rating in effect.

Size and matched system of wow Skirmishes

There are two sizes available in wow Skirmishes: 2v2 and 3v3. The system is alwys taking roles into consideration to match players well. For example, a DPS will be paired with a Healer. Besides, low-level characters are sorted into their own brackets at appropriate level (every 10 levels starting at level 15), while experienced characters are matched together in a separate queue the same way as battlegrounds.

How to queen up for skirmishes?

Queuing up for skirmishes is very easy. Simply open up the Group Finder interface or press the default hotkey "i", select the Player vs. Player tab at the bottom, and scroll down to choose your desired mode (2v2 or 3v3) in "Arena Battles". Finally, click "Join Battle" to enter the queue and find your new teammates.
