The smart thought of incorporating tower defense games in the online game modules may have been influenced by Warcraft 3. The games ask us to construct towers in order to gut down creeps. The towers can upgrade opportunities and can have different properties. The tower defense games have gained high degree of popularity due to their extremely interactive structure.
Let’s take up a few tower defense games:
Tower defense - This is one of the most fundamental game which has all the creeps marked as grey circles. They move at uniform speeds and hence they can be exposed during the passage of play. Ideally, it is meant for the beginners.
Flash element TD - This game has a variety of different colored creeps. The overall level of this tower defense game is rather rudimentary. It has two different kind of creeps; land based and air based. There are towers which can annihilate the land based creeps; there are other towers which can dismantle the air based creeps. Few are able enough to root our both of them. It has a neat concept addition though. It deals with monetary bonuses. Our bank- balance is checked after each round of creep wave. Automatically we are more advantageously placed if we spend lesser money in dealing with a particular level creep wave.
Flash circle TD - The game is a sequel to the one mentioned above. Keeping in line with up gradation virtues, the game offers far more assertive visuals. The graphic element and the sound is a treat for the players. The game has stuck to the earlier concepts of monetary bonuses. This tower defense game moves to an altogether different zone of toughness. It sets forth an alarming wave of ‘creep’ march. Once the number of creeps on the screen touches 100, we automatically lose.
Desktop tower defense - this one adds to the fun by giving us plenipotentiary powers over the path which the creeps’ have to take. We choose their path. Their aim is to run across the screen. We need to build towers so that their motive is foiled. The game has an addictive touch to it. Graphic is a spoiler though. A tower defense game with such indulging theme could have fared even better with eye-candy graphics.
Onslaught - This tower defense game again, is poor in graphics, but otherwise, it ranks extremely high in the eyes of many addicted campaigners. The game bestows a player with 8 distinct maps to play. Towers have 3 upgrade options. They are damage, range and fire rate. Three towers together combine to enable far stronger attacks.
Massive tower defense game- It asks us to shield our planet from sneaky aliens by constructing turrets.
Bloons - This is an adrenalin pumping game, not owing to its adventure component but hot paced fun element. It challenges us to stop the balloons from passing across us. The game renders high degree of addiction to us.
Tower defense games are highly addictive and are great fun to play. Here is hoping that each add on a flurry of graphic soon to their highly entertaining interface.
