In the game of Warcraft the Druids are one of cleverest and adaptable classes. They have the choice of choosing between casters, healers, ninja melee DPS and tanks. They are able to change between different forms such as: walrus, cheetah, bird, tree, bear and cat. Druids are able to use melee or ranged based attacks with DPS. They also have a range of utility spells which are able to be cast as defensive abilities as well as attacking. One of the main down sides of the druids makeup is the Hybrid Tax it suffers under which renders it not quite as good as the other classes but it's options make up for this.
A great function of the Druid is the ability to use Flight Form. Whilst being great fun this ability is only able to be used after level sixty. The form allows you to fly about as a bird and gather certain resources ( like herbs etc. ). Regarding race selection the Druid has two choices: For the Alliance you may choose Night Elves and for the Horde you may choose Tauren.
In combat the Druids situation can be split into three main parts; Feral, Resto and Balance. Feral covers the cat and the bear. The cat lets you emulate the rouge and also allows you to leap at enemies.( the Feral Charge ). You will not be able to use the cat form until level twenty. The bear form is similar to the cat form but you get a range bar instead of energy and act the traits of a Warrior. The first ability you get when playing as the bear is the 'maul' ability ( which basically means their melee attack ). This is followed on later levels by 'lacerate' and 'mangle'.
Resto = Tree. The tree form is basically a healing mode and when in this mode you must simply keep everyone alive. Druids have a hell of a lot of healing spells available to them. At lower levels they can use Regrowth, Rejuvenation and Healing touch. Playing the game to higher levels will eventually let you use Lifebloom which acts as a powerful healing tool.
Balance = Boomkin. Boomkins are very simple but fun to play and level with. Basically you must 'spam wrath' until you reach a talent which is called 'Lunar Eclipse' and things will become easier for you. Boomkins may also spawn trees.
So Druids may choose from two races: Tauren and Night Elf, Their armor can be cloth or leather and their weapons can range from one and two handed maces to daggers, staves and polearms. They are not the most popular choice of Warcraft class but they are the most adaptable class.
