Blizzard Entertainment announced a bonus gold and experience event for players to celebrate one-year anniversary of the first D3 expansion, Reaper of Souls. Nephalem were informed of the event on Blizzard’s official Diablo 3 website which also includes the event’s schedule. All the players who log in to D3 this week on any platforms will receive a +100% bonus to Gold Find and EXP! As with previous buffs, the bonuses provided will stack multiplicatively with existing in-game bonuses, including those provided by D3 items, Shrines, Pools of Reflection, and Paragon points.
For an entire week, players can enjoy a 100 percent increase to gold find and experience gain. These bonuses will stack multiplicatively with other bonuses already found in the game; like those provided by shrines or Paragon points. Both PC and console players can enjoy the extra gold and experience during this time. Even though the console version of Reaper of Souls released in August 2014, console players using the Ultimate Evil Edition of Diablo 3 will also receive the buff.
This buff will give nephalem a whole week to earn even more Paragon points or stock up on gold for plenty of gem refinements. The event will come to an end on March 30. Blizzard relayed specific start and end times for this event, and notified PC players that these times are relative to their gameplay region.
“This bonus Gold Find and Experience period begins in the Americas region on Monday, March 23 at 12:00 a.m. PDT and ends on Monday, March 30 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.”
Extra gold and experience is always welcome in Diablo 3, but there’s even more to anticipate in the coming weeks. The ending of Season 2 was announced on the official Diablo 3 website just days ago. Season 2 ends on April 5 in all regions making way for the start of Season 3 on April 10. In the interim, players are likely to see Diablo 3 update with patch 2.2 content. According to a Twitter post by the Senior Technical Game Designer of Diablo 3, patch 2.2 will be made available on April 7.
Players are tasked with leveling up new characters with the start of a new Season. New achievements, legendary items, and much more are a part of starting over. When a Season ends, characters, items, and achievements are moved over to the non-seasonal database of existing characters. The Season feature, however, is not available on consoles.
Consoles can expect the 2.2 patch, although a release date for the platform has not been specified. The 2.1.2 patch released simultaneously for consoles and PC, but no there’s no word yet on when consoles will see the 2.2 patch. When it does release on consoles, Season 3 legendary items and changes will be active even though seasons do not appear on consoles.
It is reported on microtransactions coming to Diablo 3, although, according to Blizzard Entertainment, these features will not be available in the Americas. The wardrobe feature to manage pets and wings will be included in the 2.2 patch, though.
Overall, hope you can prepare for every change coming to Diablo 3 items and accomplish challenges. We will keep updating, and stay tuned. By the way, if you want to buy Diablo 3 items, head on over to D3 items and enjoy a big discount!
