The odds are about two billion seven million to one on winning a big cash lottery. This is based on buying one ticket not that buying ten is going to increase your odds by very much. Of course, the odds are not in anyone's favor but we all have to admit we have bought a least one in our life time especially when it's advertised that the jackpot is huge in our state or a multi-state lottery. Everyone has seen a winner on the television claiming their big win or maybe a group of co-workers who got together in a group buy and hit the big one. These people took the lotto chance and against all odds were made happy campers and their life's were forever changed for the most part.
One Very Lucky Man!
There are T.V. shows now that show how the lottery have changed people's lifes or a news broadcast revealing how someone bought just one ticket on a whim while buying a gallon of milk at a convenience store on the way home from work. One man I do remember hearing about is Richard Lustig, he has hit seven times for a good amount of cash playing the Florida state lottery games. Mr. Lustig is a 59 year old man from Florida and he claims to have a strategy he uses and states he treats playing the lotto like an investment. After winning as many times as he has he can afford to this. He will not reveal the total of his winnings but he did reveal that he has won ninety eight thousand in one game, and another eight hundred and forty two thousand in another, a good chunk of cash! Well Mr. Lustig, I am happy for you and wish you the best.
Has Everyone Done Well That Won Big
There is another side to the coin here, folks who won millions and say it made their lives hell or are now penniless and you have to wonder what the heck happened. Myself, I believe people that had issues in their lives will continue to have them regardless of a big money win. If you choose to go crazy and just decide to go out there and buy expensive adult toys instead of investing your money wisely you can go through your money in a blink of an eye. You also see the stories where people have not gone crazy, helped their families invested their money well and are living the good life. It all depends on the person ,after all money is something in your hand that you decide to do with it isn't an evil thing.
Is There Really A Mathematical Formula?
Most state lotteries have a total of six numbers that are drawn and it doesn't matter which order they come out in, except the Powerball which has a separate "Powerball Number". Since numbers can always be calculated, somehow someway there has to be some type of formula out there that can be used to increase your odds of winning if not the big prize at least something of a good amount of cash. Most people do not have that type of background nor would they take the time to even try to figure the whole thing out. Many people use birthdays, number of children, special numbers they feel are lucky to them when buying tickets or they let the machines do a "quick pick" for them. This is why the states make so much money on these lotteries, that and the odds are in their favor. Well I must confess I still buy five dollars worth of tickets now and then who knows maybe some day I might just get lucky taking the lotto chance, but I know that without a real strategy or some kind of formula my odds are pretty slim to none.
