Uncharted 3 Slowly Keeping the Pace
In the event of 3D movies, 3D gaming has started to become a trend in the cyber game world. Although skeptics still consider gaming to still be most enjoyable in the simplest possible way, Sony’s Uncharted 3 in 3D is still struggling to beat the box office of Uncharted 2. Sony received a lot of complements during the unveiling of the said 3D game. This company has always made it a point to keep in pace with the current interests of the people and they thought they have succeeded with Uncharted 3 on 3D.
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception was launched late of December last year. The Naughty Dog team sure did their best to come up with the evolved game as snappy as possible. With the inclusion of 3D technology in the best game of 2009, they are still of full hope that Uncharted 3 in 3D will be placed, if not higher, at least the same level as that of Uncharted 2. The twist of the story where additional characters are making a big fuss was made even pricier because of the expensive view of the game’s background. Making it a 3D game would also require a battery operated 3D glasses that are supposed to complement the uneasiness since you are able to jump into the game. But the seemingly fall out of the game has not made it as popular and as loved by game patrons all over the world. The flaws that were determined even from the time it was launched were still unacceptable by the playing public.
Uncharted 3 in 3D have already reached the last quarter since it’s unveiling. But it seems that new villainess Katherine Marlowe is running after Nathan Drake’s ring faster in a 2D mode. Players still opt to play the game in its 2D version as the 3D one undoubtedly has flaws that do not make the gaming experience exceptional. They would rather play it simple rather than play it in a more high-tech tone that does not provide the quality it should be delivering. During its launch in the fall last year, spectators who were able to get their hands first time on the Uncharted 3 on 3D have complained of the slowing motions while on the game. Sure, the Naughty Dogs team was given applause by keeping the game abreast with the technological evolution of gaming, but in some ways they have also failed. Failing to make the game as accurate as the 2D version of Uncharted 2 is also failing the game players. Most of them were hopeful that the team can do something about the flaws before the game finally comes out in the stores but still nothing seemed to have changed.
By simply looking at the characters you will appreciate the way their faces have aged a bit. The gaming background was really awesome and the hard work of Naughty Dog team is impressed on every detail of the game’s story. Katherine Marlowe really looks terrifying and threatening as a new villainess being played by a British actress and the fights are competently good enough. But Marlowe’s critical and adventurous quest to get Drake’s ring is still mind-bogglingly fun in a 2D mode.
