Wow Dailies Gold Making Guide

With the release of Cataclysm, Blizzard has given players a boost to one of the ways you can make gold in WoW: dailies. Dailies are basically quests that you can repeat once a day every 24 hours. As a method of making gold, it can get somewhat boring. But it is reliable and, if done right, can make a decent amount.

Limitations

Before going forth to complete as many dailies as for as long as your favourite energy drink keeps you awake, you need to keep a few things in mind. First, Cataclysm added a ton of new dailies to choose from. Second, Blizzard has limited the number you can do in any 24 hour period to 25 daily quests. That means you have to make some choices.

However, this is a per character restriction, not an account-wide restriction. So if you did want to stay up all night doing dailies for three of your level 85 characters, you can.

How to Choose Good Dailies

To maximize your gold making ability, you need to do dailies that reward you with gold, or with things you can easily convert into gold. More, these quests are often divided between Alliance and Horde players, meaning some are available to one side and not to the other. It’s ok though, no matter your allegiance you can still make gold.

PvP Dailies

If you like to fight other players in the Battlegrounds, then you can turn your passion into gold (literally). You get these quest from quest NPCs who stand around the Battlemasters. You have to be at least level 70 to take them. However, they award you just shy of 12 gold for completion.

PvP quests for both Horde and Alliance players are available for Alterac Valley, Eye of the Storm, Arathi Basin, and Warsong Gulch. So, if you like to fight other players, direct that energy into something positive, like making gold!

Profession Dailies

Many people don’t like to PvP. In fact, many people don’t like to go into combat at all unless they need to. If you are one of these people, then you can make decent gold by completing crafting/professional based dailies.

There are dailies for all professions, from jewelcrafting to fishing. In addition to the skill points often awarded, you also get some gold. The gold reward for profession dailies varies widely, ranging from roughly 5 gold to almost 17 gold per completion.

If you have multiple crafting characters, this can add up quickly.

Other Ways to Get Gold

Dailies aren’t the only way to make gold in WoW. You can do everything from running instances to testing your knowledge of the economy in the auction house. No matter your playstyle, you can avoid buying gold.
