Dress as Queen Elizabeth

I am not a number one fan of Queen Elizabeth, however, Her Majesty’s fashion style makes people admire. People also love her by her kind and there are a lot of stories around her. Recently, in one of school projects, our group received the retell a story about Monarch that we impress and like most.

            According to this, we choose to show our story through a play. Anna is the most beautiful and intelligent in our group so she will take a character as Queen. I will be a storyteller. Anna is very happy when knowing that she will become Queen in our play, however, she is quite confused about costumes and after that, she called me and suggested my help. I’m willing to be a stylist and we make a plan together in order to make her impressive at both the appearance and the acting in the show.

            We begin with finding the images of Her Majesty in the internet and learn about her fashion style. In addition, I search more information about her through documentary videos or fashion magazines, especially, the vogue. In 2007, the Queen was named as one of the most glamorous women in the world by British Vogue. To describe her style, they used the words “regal poise and stately sophistication”. That might make her get a iconic look. It will prove that good grace and regal elegance are styles that will never go out of the fashion. It not only becomes a favorite fashion styles of ladies, but also the youth loves it very much.

            After collecting the amount of images and photos, I suggest that we should try some related dress up games, in which, the main characters are queens, especially Queen Elizabeth. From that we will know which one is the most suitable, even with Anna. Besides, we also know more about how to combine outfits with accessories impressively. Moreover, hairstyle is also one of the factors bringing the luxury. Parallel with costumes, we also pay attention to how to make up like a queen. We want to make up by ourselves to save the expense or ask my mom’s help.

            Next, after choosing the look for queen Anna, we decide to go shopping for dress and accessories. We will use our savings. First of all, I try to find some stores which allow us to hire dresses like queen. It will be much cheaper than buy one because afterwards we will not have chance to use it again. Fortunately, a store owner decided to let us hire a gorgeous evening dress after hearing our play. More luckily, that dress is suitable with Anna and she looks very beautiful in it. That makes us satisfied very much. With accessories like hats, handbag, crown, necklace, gloves, shoes and so on, we will make some, some will be reused from our available things in our wardrobes. The rest will be bough in some hand-made or second-hand shops to save the expense.

            Finally, when fining the outfits for the characters, we start to practice the dialogue. We hope we will succeed with this play and make classmates surprised with Anna’s appearance
