* Smaller building primarily focused on professional skills so that Garrison followers with appropriate (profession) traits can be assigned to the small building. The followers will always double the yield from work orders for small profession buildings when a follower is assigned to a building. For instance, if you assign a follower with the Alchemy trait to your Level 2 Alchemy Lab, they will give you an Alchemy Experiment which rewards Alchemy Experiment. This has a chance to contain ~5 of any Draenor potion.

* There are four types Garrison missions for followers. First, the Level 1 Level 1 Barracks unlocks Patrol missions. These have higher-than-normal experience rewards for followers. Second, The Level 3 Level 3 Lunarfall Inn / Frostwall Tavern unlock Treasure Hunter missions that reward additional gold. Third, Item Level Missions (described more below) require lvl 100 followers. Forth, Mission Specialist is an achievement for completing both types of Garrison missions. Each mission is useful to improve your follower quality and gain a better mission. Finally, several weeks later, you will be rewarded Garrison mission of raid items.

* There is no hard cap on the follower limit, but currently there is a cap of 20 active followers. However, there is a cap of 25 active followers if you have level 3 Barracks in your garrison. This cap prevents you from starting new missions if you have more active followers than you are allowed to. You need to reduce your number of active followers back to 20 (25) in order to send followers to missions again.
