In our world today, many people utilize technology on a day to day basis. Some people watch television, some spend their time on their computer, and there are others that partake in video games. For those of you that play this game as Protoss, we have taken the time to prepare Starcraft 2 Dark Shrine tactics.
This structure is part of the Protoss Technology Tree. The most important thing about it is that it used (and is the only thing that can be used) to unlock Dark Templar. This is the unit that is trained at the Gateway and Warpgate.
As with other Protoss structures, you can only build this structure in the Psionic Matrix. The good thing however about this structure is that even if it becomes unpowered, you can still create Dark Templar.
The wonderful thing about the Dark Templar is that it is used for surprise attacks. This means that you should keep it secret and hidden from opposing players. Make sure that you keep it away from them so that they can not detect this and if going for a surprise attack it should be built early on in the game.
As most of you probably know, there is a High and a Dark Templar. This can be confusing if you are just starting out as a Protoss player. You might not know what the difference is between the two and what their true purposes are. Just remember that the latter of the two does not need Templar Archives.
The Templar Archives is what is used to unlock the High Templar spell caster unit as well as its related upgrade. Even if it does not have power, it still can create a High Templar so do not forget that.
Either structure is part of a separate branch on the Protoss tech tree and when you are pursuing the Tech, you have to decide which route to take: the High or Dark. You cannot do both immediately because each path costs so much Vespene Gas, so make sure that you use your time and your money wisely when picking.
An important thing to also note is that an Archon can be formed from two Dark Templar or High Templar which have their own different costs. If you're going for Archon units then make sure to take these different costs in account when deciding on which Tech path to pursue.
As you can see, there are a number of Starcraft 2 Dark Shrine tactics for you to use. All you have to do is do your research and learn as much as you can about the structures and the units produced.
