Starcraft 2 General Harassment Guide

Harassment in StarCraft 2 is a tactic that can be utilized to deal with the enemy by using highly mobile units. These units are always small and can cause severe damage to the opponent leaving you the eventual winner.

There are so many tactics that can be followed as a way of harassing your opponent. These offer one a chance to damage the enemy by parti[censored] ting in highly mobile attack. The main aim is to destroy the other opponent's economy and throw them off balance.

One of these types of tactics is the base harass. This is aimed at killing the workers of the opponent and to stop them from mining. This makes the opponent lose resources for financing their battles thus increasing your chances of winning. The other strategy is to destroy all the buildings or units of the opponent that are responsible for providing supply. This includes the Supply Depot and the Overlord. This will make them spend additional minerals to get their supply back and may supply block them, sometimes allowing you to form a larger army.

These tactics are aimed at keeping the opponent on the back foot. An effective early tactic against the Zerg is using a worker to block the Drone from morphing into a building, usually a Hatchery.

On the other hand, a Zerg player can make use of Overlords to stop enemy Protoss and Terran buildings from being placed at an expansion by spewing Creep. If one is a Protoss player, they can use units such as the Void Ray and the Dark Templar to har[censored] their opponents.

In addition, making use of the Phoenixes as Protoss can help a lot in conquering the enemy if they are not ready. This is because they have got great speed and they can easily pick up enemy units such as workers in order to destroy them. They can also escape before they could be destro[censored] .

On the other hand the Zerg and Terran players can make use of their own methods of harassing to bring the fight to the enemy. In order to prevent harassment one should be vigilant enough to monitor the movements of their opponent.

Harassment is one of the best ways to whittle down enemy forces and keep them on the defensive with a smaller number of units as they do not involve massive engagements. This tactic can be made even more effective by baiting the opponent's forces away from their base and then attacking the base once they are out of position.
