Never Underestimate the Value of Secondary Professions!

A big mistake that is often made by players both new and experienced is that they end up neglecting their secondary professions. Sadly, this is a big mistake, and one that most players regret later on as they find that they're forced to go back and level up those secondary professions. 

Just in case you didn't know, the three secondary professions that are available now are: Fishing, cooking, and first aid. 

Granted, none of these may seem to be all that important - but looks can be deceiving! 

To begin with, fishing is essentially pretty self explanatory. By using fishing rods and various types of lure, you'll find that you're able to fish from almost any lake, river, pond, or sea. Depending on the area you fish at, you'll find that there are tons of different types of fish available. 

Why would you want fish? Well, partly they can be used for cooking, and partly as part of the recipes for various potions and other items. Some fish even provide great buffs all by themselves! 

Cooking is really just as self explanatory too, and involves cooking various meats and fish into dishes. Normally, the better dishes available can be consumed to provide buffs, which can improve the power of your character and of other characters in your group. 

Last, but certainly not least, is the most important secondary profession of all: First aid. 

As its name implies, first aid consists of creating and using bandages to heal yourself - and this is going to come in handy in so many ways in both PvE and PvP. Largely, being able to heal yourself when you need to could be the difference between life and death, and could help save your entire group at times. 

Even if you are a class that can heal yourself, having first aid could mean that you could save valuable mana by using a bandage on yourself instead! 

In end game raids and instances, having first aid is really important as very often the healers won't have enough time to heal the group as a whole as they'll be concentrating on keeping the tanks alive instead. Thus it is important that damage dealers are able to heal themselves if necessary and last long enough for a healer to be able to toss them a heal or two if possible. 

Having first aid is the only way this could possibly happen, so consider yourself warned! 

Although these skills are 'secondary', each and every one of them could help you and your friends to best the biggest bosses out there, so don't skimp on them and then regret it later!
