Blizzard is making it easier than ever to capture your Night Elf's duckface, thanks to a new selfie camera coming to World of Warcraft. Patch 6.1, which recently rolled out to WoW's public test realms, adds the S.E.L.F.I.E. Camera, a new toy designed to make picture-taking a bit more self-centered.
The selfie camera is a reward from a new, rare level 100 garrison mission called Field Photography -- a four hour mission that requires no special traits to complete. Simply get the mission to show up on your list and the camera is pretty much yours. It is basically an item that will let you snap selfies in the game. To obtain it, gamers will need to complete a Follower Mission which is about 4 hours long and costs 20 Garrison Resources. Don’t miss any chance to buy wow gold cheap!
The new toy lets players turn the camera on themselves and snap a selfie, which is saved to their screenshots folder. Player's characters will even emote while the camera is trained on them to capture photos of smiles, alluring kissy faces and more. The interface for the camera is really easy to use -- simply click the item to use it, and your camera will automatically turn around to face you. You can swivel the angle to whatever you feel is most pleasing, and press 1 to snap a photo. No need to alt-z the frame out of the picture first, the camera automatically does it for you, snapping the screenshot and putting it in your screenshots folder. As the camera faces your character, they'll make a host of suitably emotive faces, so you don't have to worry about smiling for the camera.
The cool part about this, however, is that you aren't done with the camera or your missions just yet. A followup rare mission called Lens Some Hands will reward you with the S.E.L.F.I.E. Lens Upgrade Kit. Use this on your camera and you'll upgrade to the S.E.L.F.I.E. Camera MkII, which can be added to your Toy Box and used by any of your characters. There are three unique filters added with the Lens Upgrade Kit -- a Sketch Filter, a Black and White Filter, and a mysterious Death Filter. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten the follow up mission to pop up in my missions list just yet, but I find myself incredibly curious about that last filter and what it does. We'll have to wait and see.
WoW's new selfies do appear to have something of a clipping issue, as the player's camera arm seems to be problematic. Warcraft's version of the selfie stick can't be far behind.
Patch 6.1 also added Twitter integration, letting players send tweets for items, achievements and screenshots, like selfies of your improved Blood Elf, which just got the new characters models introduced in Warlords of Draenor.
Most of gamers are expecting for it, and how about you? By the way, don’t miss the cheap WoW BOE items for sale here!
