The Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword Finding Your Loftwing

Fairly early in Zelda Skyward Sword you are forced to fly your Loftwing. By forced I mean pushed off a cliff and you will fall to your death without it. Turns out you need to find it somewhere in the town. This guide will help you find it quick and easy. Let’s do it.

If you haven’t figured out how to use the map yet it is the + on the Wiimote and is very helpful.

Anyways first thing you need to do for the Zelda Skyward Sword Finding your Loftwing guide is figure out why your bird didn’t come down in the first place. Look at your map and all the way at the bottom is The Plaza. This is where we need to go. Problem is the main gate is still being fixed so we will have to go around. Remember the path you took up here? The one you needed to help the guy get the cat? Go down that again and take the gate that is open down there. It is pretty much a straight line there.

Once you arrive you will get a cut scene. This guy Groose apparently took the bird and hid it somewhere. You will be given an option one what you want to say back. I said nice hair but you can say whatever you want. After that Zelda will come save you for some reason even though we all know Link would tear all three of those guys up. After that Zelda says I’ll look from the air you look on the ground.

Next for the Zelda Skyward Sword Finding your Loftwing guide we will find where the bird is being held. I think there may be various ways to find out but the route I took was back up to the Statue of the Goddess. Check your map if you don’t remember how to get back there. You will have to climb the boxes and jump the gap again as well.

While heading up I got shouted at by a guy near the sparring hall. Go over there and talk to them. They will give you the location of your Loftwing. The location is apparently a tad dangerous and you will need a sword. Go into the the sparring hall and talk to the knight commander. He will tell you the sword is in the back so go grab it. At this point you can leave or do some practice on the logs. I recommend doing the practice it is easy and helps you get a grasp of the combat. I also would advise playing in the dark because the Wii motion plus works better in the dark I think.

After that make your way to the cave. You have to cross the rocks to get over the water. Once at the gate to the cave cut it down and head inside.

The cave itself is pretty straight forward and has two kinds of enemies. It has slimes which can be cut and killed and bats which are also easy to kill. Without a shield they don’t make the game to hard yet. Anyways keep going through the cave and pick up anything the enemies drop because you can upgrade your things in this game. Also if you see some vines on the wall climb up for hidden treasures like rupees. Just keep going through the cave and any steep hills or walls you think you can’t get past just sprint and you will run up or jump over the obstacles.

Once outside Zelda will land and want to help you find your bird again. It’s right down the hill so thanks for the help. Once there cut the ropes in between the black squares to free your bird. Now you will be able to fly for the ceremony. Good job.
