Eridium is one of the most sought after currency on Pandora in Borderlands 2. You can use Eridium to buy upgrades for all of your weapons, banks and backpack that you used to have to buy with money in the original Borderlands. There is nothing more rewarding than having a seamlessly infinite supply of ammo and picking up Eridium will help you achieve that feeling. Also, with more backpack space you will be able to stay out in the fields of Pandora for much longer. This guide will go over how to get Eridium fast in Borderlands 2 and is accompanied by a short video that is below. Make sure to check out our YouTube page for more awesome sauce in, and around, Borderlands 2.
The first way to get a lot of Eridium fast is by killing Badass enemies. Every map area has different badass enemies laying around. Finding a rout for these badies can get you a lot of Eridium pretty quickly. Farming regular enemies will get you some Eridium on the way, but the badasses drop it more often and in higher amounts.
A second good way to get a lot of Eridium quickly is by playing with a ton of friends. When you play co-op with three other people the drop rate for everything goes up including Eridium. Even if you don’t have some buddies around you can always connect and play online, if you can deal with randoms! Anyway to get a boost in the drop stat will help you in the long run.
The last way that can gain a ton of Eridium fast is through the slot machines in Moxxxi’s Bar in Sanctuary. At first I didn’t realize how many great things you can get from these slot machines. If you have around $10,000 in game, which does not take long to rack up cash after level 10 or so, you can get a ton of Eridium fast. Spending about $5,000 I racked up almost 35 Eridium including the big jackpot I got in the video above. Now the slot machines are a bet so be careful. But if you have a lot of cash to blow, especially in the earlier levels, this option might be worth a try.
That will end our Borderlands 2 guide on getting Eridium fast. We hope that this guide helped you out.
