Let’s get started.
The Adventurer’s Quest in The Cave is full of switches that can be tricky. Look to the wall for clues on which switches should be hit and the order they should be triggered. First off to get into the pyramid with all of your characters you have to use the Adventurer’s grapple to get across some spikes. Once she is across there is a switch she can stand on that will get rid of the spikes. The other characters can then cross. You will have to do this in two different spots before really getting into the Pyramids in The Cave.
The first thing you have to do when you get into the Pyramids is find the Ankh. To find the Ankh, go right and take the first ladder that is pointed downwards. Then go left and use another ladder to go downwards again. After getting down that ladder, head to the right and you will see the exit to the Pyramids area and the Ankh.
After getting the Ankh you have to insert it in the Ankh recess. Go left and go back up the ladder you came down. From here go immediately to the right and go up the ladder you came down before. Head to the right and there will be yet another ladder that you can go up. Follow this path and you will eventually get to the Ankh recess. Insert the Ankh and move on to the next are.
Flipping a Ton of Switches
Most of the Adventurer’s quest from this moment on is a switch fest. Make sure to keep a close eye on markings on the wall. Hit the switch to the left with the Adventurer after going through the door that opens when you put the Ankh in the Ankh recess. This will open up a passage way you need to take both of your other characters in to. Head to the right, and keep going down ladders and to the right to get to this room. Once both of them are in this room it will close and the real adventure begins.
For the first door, look at the paintings on the wall. For me I had to hit the snake and the Lion. From here there will be a grapple point that you have to get to. Make sure you stand on just the painting that is shown. For me I had to have one character only on the dog. Next you have to get the spikes to slow down. Look for the picture of the animal on the wall behind the spikes. Having a character only on that picture will slow down the spikes but not stop them.
Run across the spikes and stop just before falling down. Look downwards and you should be able to see another painting on the wall. For me it was the snake. This will put a concrete slab over the spikes. Jump off of the slab to the left with the Adventurer and miss the spike switch. It’s not a big deal if you hit it, but it’s better not to. Continue to the left.
There will be another painting below you. For me it was the lion. Hitting the lion will put away the spikes so you can continue to the left. Now look behind the next set of spikes for the switch you need to hit. For me it was the crane and the dog. Again try to avoid the spike switch with the Adventurer. Move across the spikes to the right and use the grappling hook to swing yourself to safety. The next room to the right will be the Esophagus.
Lowering the Esophagus
Lowering the Esophagus in the Pyramids is all about timing. First hit the switches with your other characters to open the door to the right. For me it was the crane and the snake. Push the Esophagus to the right and drop it down a level of floors. After that, move it to the left and put it on a platform that has a picture of the Esophagus and it will start moving downward.
Now it’s all about timing. Hit the switch to the left with the Adventurer and the Esophagus will start moving down. Head to the right quickly and get ahead of the casket. Move one of your other characters to open the door by looking at the picture. For me it was the dog. Jump on the switch to let the Esophagus keep moving downward.
As soon as the Esophagus clears the platform you are standing on run over to the right and head down the shaft. Look at the picture of the next door that you need to open and switch your character to the new picture, for me it was the lion. Run under the Esophagus and let it lower to the final level. Push the casket over the adventurer so that you can move across the spikes. Pushing the Esophagus to the right will cause a bridge to crumble and you to fall.
The last part is full of, you guessed it, more switches. For this section, head to the right and take note of all of the pictures. You have to match all three symbols that are in front of each gold bowl to light a green fire. Light all three bowls with green fire and a stone block will fall down, allowing your two other characters to go free. From this point, use one of your two free characters to push the block down into the pit where the Adventurer is trapped. Use the Adventurer to push the block on a switch to make a ladder available. Head to the right and exit the Pyramid area and complete the Adventurer’s quest in The Cave.
