Grand Theft Auto 5 Weapon List

The only way to be successful in Grand Theft Auto 5 is to have the right weapons and the right attachments. The more missions you play, the more weapons you can unlock. Here is a list of the weapons you can buy and the attachments you can get with them, check it out.

Grand Theft Auto 5 Weapon and Attachments list

You will be alerted via text message when new weapons have become unlocked, remember that just because one character has the weapon not all characters have the weapon. All weapons can be purchased at Ammunation as well as armor and ammo.

Pistols

Pistol: Classic weapon, got very early in the game as Franklin.

Combat Pistol: This is unlocked after a mission with Micheal where he has to face off with some government agents.

AP Pistol: Automatic pistol unlocked after you use all three characters for the first time in a mission together.

Stungun: Unlocked during the Trevor side mission Border Patrol. (Thanks 2dtommie)

Melee Weapons

Nightstick: Unlocked late in the game. (Thanks 2dtommie)

Knife: Can be bought as soon as you go to the store.

Explosives

Tear Gas: I think this is unlocked after the first heist mission, if not I’m not sure.

Grenade: First time I looked I could buy these. Nice and cheap with some big power.

Sticky Bomb: After blowing up some trailers with Trevor these become unlocked in the store.

Jerry Can: Also unlocked during a Trevor mission, after taking out some rivals.

Sub Machine Guns

Micro SMG: Acquired during one of the early missions as Franklin.

Pump Shotgun: Acquired in the same mission as the first pistol as Franklin.

Saw-Off Shotgun: I don’t remember which mission this is unlocked after but I think it was a Micheal mission.

Assault Shotgun: Acquired after the Paleto Job.

Assault Rifle: Acquired during the first heist mission.

Sniper Rifles

Sniper Rifle: Trevor takes it from the Ammunation near his trailer.

Heavy Sniper: Both Micheal and Franklin have missions where they use sniper rifles and I’m not sure which one unlocks this one. This sniper cannot be silenced.

Grenade Launcher: Unlocked with Trevor during the defense of the lab mission.

RPG: Not sure but Trevor gets it in a 3 way mission.

Minigun: Unlocked after the Paleto Job.

Combat MG: Unlocked after the Paleto Job.
