The Week in Review: FIFA 13 breaks records and YouPorn is coming to Xbox 360 Edition

madison naked -

Who knew that news of porn being available on a video games console would prove so popular... certainly not me. I satisfy all my naked women needs with a copy of the Littlewoods Autumn/Winter 1995 catalogue and a magnifying glass, but it appears many gamers are quite excited about the upcoming ability to stream naughty videos to their TV. Each to their own.

With FIFA 13 now in stores it was only a matter of time until the records started to tumble, and sure enough they did. FIFA 13 shifted a staggering 4.5 million copies in just five days to become the biggest sports video game launch of all time, one million of which came from the UK. The game also topped the first ever European PS3 download chart. And EA managed to fix up some teething problems causing pesky disconnects and Ultimate Team trade pile issues.

EA wasn't the only publisher of the week to make a fuss about its game's success. Capcom announced it had shipped 4.5 million copies of Resident Evil 6, Blizzard confirmed Mists of Pandaria sales of 2.7 million, and Rovio's Bad Piggies cleaned up on the App Store. Oh, and Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has now sold four million copies.

Perhaps the most surprising news of the week was Cliff Bleszinski leaving Epic after 20 years with the firm – who's going to pose with huge replica weapons now Cliff?... how could you do this to us!!

Nintendo fans were treated to a smorgasbord of announcements, including a host of new 3DS console bundles: Animal Crossing, New Super Mario Bros. 2, and Pikachu Yellow. Paper Mario: Sticker Star was given a firm UK release date, and a selection of earlier 3DS releases were published on the Nintendo eShop.

There was an air of sadness when news emerged that Rare came close to greenlighting an HD conversion of Killer Instinct, and an HD version of TimeSplitters 2 was in development at Free Radical. To think we could have been playing these games right now. Hulk Smash!

And in a Sunday afternoon 'You've Been Framed' kind of a moment, Microsoft showed just how much it cares by revealing you'll get a hugely generous 20 Microsoft Points on your birthday as part of the new MyAchievements initiative. At that rate we'll all be able to afford Joe Danger 2 in only 60 years. I can't wait.

Resident Evil 6 is the week's only review, but sadly the game failed to live up to the hype earning only a six out of 10, with Martin stating "Resident Evil 6's ADHD-tinged response to modern game development does it more harm than good".

Remember to check out the latest episode of The VideoGamer.com Podcast, this week with special guests from Firaxis on to talk about XCOM.

I'm off to find a rather revealing little number on page 76.
