Destiny: Xur Location and Inventory - October 2, 2015

This Destiny article will give you Xur’s location, as well as tell you what he’s selling for October 2, 2015. As he does every week, Xur arrives at the Tower at 5:00 AM EST on Friday, and departs on Sunday at the same time. While he’s there, Guardians can buy items such as Exotic Armor, Exotic Weapons, Exotic Engrams, Exotic Shards, and perhaps best of all, the Three of Coins.

Xur’s Location

You can find Xur in the Tower North. Spawn in at the Tower, turn left, and go into the building. Follow the path all the way past where you would turn to visit the speaker. You can find Xur hanging out by the railing.

Xur’s Inventory

  • Legacy Engram: Heavy Weapon Engram - 31
  • Titan Gauntlets: Immolation Fists - 13
  • Hunter Helmet: Celestial Nighthawk - 13
  • Warlock Chest: Heart of the Praxic Fire - 13
  • Exotic Engram: Helmet Engram - 19
  • Three of Coins x 5 - 7

What You Should Buy

That odd moment where Xur isn't surrounded by 10 Guardians.

It’s never a bad idea to grab any Exotic Weapon or piece of Armor that you don’t already have. Given that we’re less than one month into Year 2, stocking your shelves with everything that you can should still be a priority. At the same time, you want to grab up as many Three of Coins as you can. Pop one of these before boss fights like the Warpriest, Golgoroth, or even Oryx in the King’s Fall Raid. You can also use them during Tier 3 Court of Oryx events, helping to expand your Exotic collection even more. If you’re low on Strange Coins (Xur’s favorite currency), buy the Armor and Weapons that you need, and then spend the rest on the Three of Coins.

On this particular day, buy up any armor that you're missing, but skip over the Legacy Engram. It's not worth the 31 Strange Coins. You could buy four packages of the Three of Coins for that price, and end up with four to five times the Exotic Engrams.

If you're missing any of the armor pieces, grab those up, but consider skipping the Helmet Engram. It's a random Exotic for a random class, and so far the new loot table doesn't seem to be working all that well. What we mean by that is that you are as likely to get a Helmet that you already have as you are one that you don't. Armor pieces and Three of Coins are all you need this week.
