THE JEDI KNIGHT
It is a dark era for the JEDI ORDER. The Sith Empire obliterated the
Jedi Temple on Coruscant and slaughtered many of the Republic's brave
defenders during the last war. The surviving Jedi have withdrawn to their ancient homeworld of TYTHON,
where they take advantage of a fragile peace to train a new generation
of guardians for the galaxy. Now a new hope emerges. A young Padawan strong in the Force journeys to
Tython's dangerous wilderness to complete the final Jedi trials and
become a Knight of the Republic....
Your shuttle arrives in the training area, The Gnarls, in Tython. You are greeted by Derrin Weller who welcomes you to Tython. Everyone at the temple is looking forward to meeting you. Your former Masters praise your combat skills. They say you're becoming an expert duelist. Tell him you had good teachers. He will tel you that the Jedi Council will assign you a new Master to oversee your final trials and that you will be tested in ways you can't imagine. But when you leave Tython, you'll know what it means to be a Jedi Knight. More importantly, you'll know yourself. Tell him that you'd like to get started. Suddenly he will get an emergency signal from Unaw Aharo who is under attack by Flesh Raiders that are invading the Padawan training grounds. They have blasters. Derrin Weller seems surprised that the Flesh Raiders are armed with blasters and is sure that the Padawan is mistaken. Tell him that regardless, it's trouble. Derrin will send you and every able-bodied Jedi to the training ground to help. He tells you to take the speeder outside to the training grounds. Push back the Flesh Raiders, and find out if they're really using advanced weapons. He tells you he will catch up with you after he alerts the Jedi Council. May the Force be with you.
You can open your Mission Log and codex now by pressing "L" or clicking on the icon on the top. You should find the following quest there:
Attack of the Flesh Raiders
Flesh Raiders have mounted an assault on the Jedi training grounds in the Gnarls. Derrin Weller has asked you to help ward off this threat. Speak to the speeder droid outside of the Masters' Retreat to find transportation to the Gnarls.
Task: Take a speeder to the Gnarls.
You can move your character by pressing the A, S, W and D keys. To look around, hold the left mouse button and move the mouse.
Although this quest is easy and does not require it, you can choose to group. All you need to do is to right-click on another player. You will be given the option to send them a group invite. If they accept, you will be able to chat with them using group chat. To find players to group with, mark yourself as looking for group using the Who panel.
Head down to the platform to the Southeast and talk to Masters' Retreat Taxi Republic Transport Service. Click on the green arrow icon to travel. Taxis allow you to quickly travel between locations. Use a taxi by right clicking on a Transport service droid and selecting your destination. Make sure you have enough credits for the fare.
Your task now is to defeat 10 Flesh Raiders. Kill them, and remember to loot them. When you defeat an enemy, its defeated body will glow if it has loot. Right click your enemy;s defeated body to open its loot window. Then, right-click on any items in the Loot window to add them to your inventory.
Use your Strike and Slash abilities to kill the enemies. You need to land three strikes in order for the Slash to become active. There should be plenty of Flesh Raider Scouts and Flesh Raider Hunters in this area for you to kill.
Click on your Holocom button once you are done killing 10 or more of them. Derrin Weller contacts you. He was shot in the leg by a flesh raider while he was rescuing some Padawans. He has been evacuated to a medcenter, but the fighting isn't over. Ask him where the Jedi Council is. He will tell you that some reinforcements are already here, but the Flesh Raiders keep pouring. Another Padawan found a cave tunnel the Flesh Raiders use to enter this valley. He needs you at that tunnel making sure the Flesh Raiders don't get any more reinforcements through it. Find the tunnel along the mountain range. Your task is now to secure the Gnarls Cavern.
You might have also reached a new level by now. Your health and some of your core attributes have been increased, and you should have an easier time fighting higher level enemies. Also, you should seek out a class trainer to learn new abilities.
Also, you can earn social points by joining missions and conversations with other players. You can win more social points by winning (And even losing) conversation rolls. You can view your social score on your character sheet. Some items you find in the world have level requirements (Such as Social II) before they can be used. These items can often be purchased at vendors throughout the game.
Head Southeast, crossing a bridge and a river along the way, and locate the Gnarl Cavern near Tythos River Delta. Go inside. This is a class story area. These areas are where many important events in your class story take place. A class story area can be identified by moving the mouse over its entrance. If the entrance barrier is green, you can enter the story area. If the entrance barrier is red, you cannot enter the story area. This cavern is a Jedi Knight Phase. Your groupmates can help you if they are not a Jedi Knight, or if they select "Allow access to same-class story areas" in the Preference Window.
Fight your way through the caverns defeating Flesh Raider Ravages and Flesh Raider Brutes along the way. Killing 10 of them will complete a bonus mission, "Halt the Assault".
Reach the end of the cavern and find another Jedi, Callef there threatening a Padawan. He says the Order must evolve and he must kill the weak Padawan. Tell Callef that if he wants a fight, to pick you. Unaw Aharo warns you that Callef commands the Flesh Raiders attacking you. Callef says they are not attacking, but rather "cleansing", and they have only begun. Tell him that he is done [Attack] for some DARK points or ask him to surrender for LIGHT points. Defeat Callef, this is a slightly harder fight as he is a BOSS. Use a medpac if you run low on health. After you've defeated him, talk to Unaw. Master Orgus Din shows up. He says Callef is no Jedi, at least not one of them. Tell him he led the flesh raiders. Something looks familiar about the lightsaber Callef was carrying. Master Orgus is impressed that you held all the attackers off with only a practice saber. You can try telling him to give you a real lightsaber. But he tells you that Callef's lightsaber is going to the Jedi Council to help them discover who that man was. He then uses the force to seal the tunnel. Ask him how you can do that trick, he will replay that you need a few decades or practicing. The master will instruct you to report to the Jedi Council. Ask if you should stay here and help but he will tell you that you are needed elsewhere. Follow the path leading out of this valley. You'll find the Jedi Temple through the mountain pass.
If you are ever defeated in a fight, you can be revived by either activating a medical probe or by returning to the nearest medical center. Nearby players can also revive your character if they are not in combat mode.
Exit the caverns and go to the Jedi Temple, to the Southwest (you have to go NW from the cavern then take the winding road SW). On the way defeat 4 Flesh Raider Lurkers to complete the bonus mission "Clear the Path to the Jedi Temple".
As you enter the temple and you will receive a Holocom message. Activate Holocommunicator. Leader of the Jedi Council, Master Shatele Shan, wants to speak to you privately before you go meet Master Orgus. Your objective now is to meet Satele Shan in her mediation room inside the Jedi Temple. Head to her room through the corridor in the SW. She will ask if you are alright and advise you about the force, dark side, and emotions.
This complete the mission "Attack of the Flesh Raiders" and starts the next mission, "High-Tech Savages".
